Keg at The Beagle, Chorlton. 3.2%. Cloudy pale golden shade with a tiny ring of head. Lemony up front. Taste moves into lactic yoghurt and fizzy sherbet notes. Dry as well as sour. Body is really robust for a beer of this strength, which seemed impressive. A lovely delicious thirst quencher.

Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. A cloudy yellow-white coloured beer with a very tart lemon flavour, dry vanilla notes followed by a sour, spicy, zesty finish. Rather like sucking a lemon...in a good way! Bottle Conditioned.

Tap @ Mikkeller Bar, Viktoriagade. Pours clear pale golden with no real head. Aroma has mild wheat, grapes. Low, prickly carbonation, fine dry and very light mouthfeel. Flavour has citrus, wheat, good tartness, lactic and citric. A bit thin and kinda boring.

Light sweet aroma from a very pale yellow beer. The taste has an initial wine-vinegar hit, there’s a touch of maltiness in the mouth and the lingering flavour is slightly sweet. It’s a strange one.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at the brewery. Pours perfectly clear, pale yellow, nicely effervescent with a thick, pure white froth head. The aroma holds a good bit of soured wheat, rotting white grapes, mild lemon. Light sweet flavor with a lovely, delicate citric tartness, subtle grassy bitterness, a bit of lip-puckering salty bite, funky lemon. Light bodied with average to lively, spritzy carbonation. Extremely clean on the finish with short sour bite, moderate funk, further citric tang. Just a touch of drying, musty cobwebs in the aftertaste. The body and carbonation are spot, as is the level of sourness. Truly delightful.
