Un nez de limonade et de lactobacille dans un corps dépourvu d’effervescence. Le corps est mince et sec mais parfaitement en harmonie avec sa condition. Des tanins se déposent doucement sur l’acétique, vraiment citronné et accessible.

Bottle (330 ml). Hazy pale yellow with no head and no lacing. Aroma is cheesy with white wine, lemony notes and light herbal presence. Taste is lemony and citric with white wine, cheesy notes, wheat and herbal notes. Light body. Low carbonation. Dry finish. Mouth puckering. The white wine isn’t that much present in nose, but it add a good amount of complexity to the taste. Tasty for such a low abv beer. The base beer isn’t overshadowed by the barrel treatment. Drinkable. Fun declension of their London Sour.

Beese (1832) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - MAR 20, 2014
Bottle from the Kernel Brewery. Poured a cloudy yellow with no head. Not sure if the seal had broken, because it didn’t make much of a ’pop’ and the beer was rather flat, but it was fresh from the brewery. Aroma of white grapes, lactic acid and sour fruit. Tart fruit flavours, with some cooked fruit and sharp acidity. Finish was gentle sourness, bitter fruit and a sugary balance.

2014-02-28. Crisp pale yellow body, headless, it gains some cloudiness when the sediment is poured in. Aroma is interesting, light Berliner Weiss like funk. Flavour is pleasant, lightly sour throughout, light lemony touches. Very mild vinous touches if you look hard for it. Average plus bodied palate, low carbonation. Pretty enjoyable, just a touch overly mild but tasty and refreshing. Bottle shared by HogTownHarry

Bottled. Cloudy pale yellow, small head. Lactic acidity together with white wine. Tart with light body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Lactic and lemony. Some oak. Low bitterness. More mellow than your average berliner weisse.

[Bottle (12oz) shared with HogTownHarry, jercraigs & mabel -- c/o HogTownHarry] Pours a clear, very pale gold with a small bubbly white head. (A 2nd pour adds some murkiness) Aroma is sour and tart with lemons and some oak. Slightly watery flavour is quite sour and tart, citrusy and a bit vinegary. Short tart finish. Light bodied. This is a refreshing, nice palate cleanser between beers.

My 330ml bottle shared with blankboy, jercraigs and mabel. Pale, watery-looking pale yellow, pretty much zero head. Aroma is lemon, oak, slightly sour white wine - simple, not bad. Taste - mostly lemon, some light dry oak, hint of wine. Light body, acidic, a little flat, finishes tart and dry, slightly floral. Refreshing.
