Bouteille (2,5%- 04/09/13). Kernel (merci Nico). Robe jaune très pale et limpide. Mousse blanche furtive. Nez de petit lait, très légères notes d’arachide. Attaque douce, insipide, puis belle acidité de pulpe de citron. Finale sèche et astringente. Corps léger, effervescence absente. Une bière "rince palais" qui trouve son utilité en dégustation.

This is what I call a real sour one. Nice aromas of citrus fruits, some strawberries and pineapple. Easy going and refreshing with high drinkability. Good one.

Bottle from my Summer Santa - many thanks! The Berliner Weisse pours out in a cloudy white-yellow colour with almost no head and thin body. Aroma of acid and sour berries. Taste of unripe gooseberries, green berries, acid, green nuts and wheat. Sour finish. Enjoyed it a lot - the acidity was well-balanced. refreshing, quaffable. The best Berliner Weisse I had so far.

w aromacie bezkompromisowe, sporo kwasku, pełnia trudna do opisania, coś pomiędzy nadgnitymi owocami, cytryną i winogronami białymi.

330ml bottle from the Cheese & Wine shop, Darlington. 2.5%. Pale yellow colour, thin white head and aroma of wheat, grain, straw, yeast. Taste is sharp, tart, lemony, citric, sour, with some wheaty & straw notes. Light bodied, soft carbonation, dry lingering sour and fairly clean finish. Very drinkable.

Bottle into a Leffe glass. Pale golden with no head and slight fizz. Light sour wheat aroma. Sour, quite lambic like with a lightly malty base behind it. Tastes better than it looks. Quite reasonable really, a nice change.

Bottle drunk on the train, bought in grape and grind, 2.5%.
Pale blonde, fruity with refreshing tartness, light body, gentle carbonation. Ideal sunny day beer. Citric nose.residual dryness and sharp acidic bite.

My Bottom Line:
Citrusy and lactic acidity whip up natural yogurt flavors, as white grapefruit wades within.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam covers the very pale blond shine.
-The dryness and acidity combine for a most gum-drying experience.
-The nose and acidity are both pungent.
-This may not be the most complex brew, but it sure is memorable due to clearcut acidity and yogurt nods.

It’s sour and very tart alright. Not really for me though. Quite sharp and acidic.

Bottle from the Kernel Brewery, Bermondsey. Poured a light, hazy yellow, with a halo of white head. Aroma of tart fruit, old socks and champagne yeast. Acidic, sour flavours, some straw and orange. Finish was tart rhubarb, straw and some sugary balance.
