3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Clear, pale straw colour. Filmy, white head. Aroma is green apple. The barrel ageing is evident. I also get a curious undertone of chip shop mushy peas! Taste is dry and light sour. Clean, zingy palate. Finish is dry, and light sour. Liked this, even with the peas.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Nose is wheat, green apple, oak leaves, lemon, yeast. Appearance is very pale yellow. Taste is light soured wheat, with green apple, green leaves, leading to a mellow sweeter, vanilla tone in the finish from the oak. Mouthfeel is surprisingly rounded.
Kernel’s London sour is one of the most compelling beers I have tried in a while and mixed with the oak aged saison it lifts it into a complex but still refreshing beer.

De la paille trempé dans le beurre de brett, des notes acides et pas mal de rusticité dans un liquide qui s’engouffre sans forcer.
