330ml bottle from Deeside Drinks Emporium, Banchory. It pours cloudy orange-amber, with a thick white head. The nose is pine, resin, sweet citrus (particularly tangerine) and orange flavoured Chewits. The taste is yeast, earth, citrus pith, kumquat, pine and brown bread, with a long bitter-citric finish. Moderate body, average carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. A tasty pale ale.

Thanks Craig for sharing this. Pours a golden colour with a decent white head. Aroma of pine, passion fruit, caramel and barley. Similar flavours with a foamy mouth-feel, mild carbonation and a little CO2 prickle. Fairly bitter and a little dry to finish.

500 ml bottle shared by Travlr: Pours a clear deep golden bronze with a spotty-lacing white head. Has a fresh resiny hoppy nose with a sweet pale maltiness. Starts with effervescent carbonation and clean light malty sweetness with a good crisp resiny hop flavor and bitter balance before a drier refreshing finish. An enjoyable APA.

330ml bottle (Kernel, RBESG2011 Saturday)
Hazy orange. A lovely sharp hoppy taste. Tangy retronasals. Citrussy and grapefruity. Very nettly. Superb balance for a strong hoppy IPA. Great tingle of hops and lovely dry finish.

At brewery during RBESG. Kernel acc hazy gold orange. Quite a herby pale ale. Lots of hop. Decent beer. Bit restrained on the fruit more herby hoppy. Quite bitter on finish. 3.2 Bottle at home a few weeks later. Very drinkable earthy pale ale. Decent earthyness. Some orangey fruit on the end. Like clementine, maybe mandarin. Fine.

Bottle 500ml.

Unclear - hazy matt medium amber orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, light chocolate - nutty dusty, moderate to light heavy hoppy, orange - citrus, grapefruit. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, dry, orange, dusty, grass - citrus. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110806]

500mL thanks to Travlr. The pour is a clear, light orange with a healthy, white head. Webby lace. Nose is dank American tropical hops. Huge jackfruit, nectarines, grapefruit, pineapple. Aromatic hops die off after awhile to bring something more like dried peanuts, specifically the skin around the nut, not the shell. Taste is salty peanuts, lots of nutty bitterness like Brazil nut and walnut skins. Great malt backbone to this one. No water or soap on the palate. Very good.
