3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 harrisoni (10911) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - DEC 8, 2011
Bottle from the Bottle Shop Canterbury. Amarillo is a lovely aroma hop. So lots of aroma. No huge bitterness on finish. I mean its fun but after the first 3/4 of the beer it becomes a bit thin and astringent. Yes lots of Amarillo but maybe thats why some hops work well in tandem. Drunk with roast chicken and stuffing with potato wedges and veggies. Love the aroma nit sure about the swalliw and finish. Nothing wrong with the beer its just tough to do a single hop amarillo beer i think.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 madmitch76 (9867) - , Essex, ENGLAND - NOV 20, 2011
19th November 2011 Very hazy orange - amber beer, tidy white head. Light crisp palate, dry. Small amount of creamy malt supports bags and bags of Amarillo. Fresh orange, spicy orange, piney orange! More fresh orange towards the finish with grapefruit bitterness ramping up. Dry finish. Full on Pale Ale - great hops. A tad dry was the only distraction.

Bottle at the Kernel Brewery, Bermondsey, London, 03.12.11 Pours glowing gold/orange with quickly departing white head. Soft in the mouth, buzzy, tangy flavours and hoppiness tangle for attention in the mouth. Grapefruit shows, good bitterness throughout, quit crisp in mouth at times. Nice stuff! A6 A4 T8 P4 Ov14 3.6
