0.33l bottle @ Cask Pub & Kitchen. Doesn’t look amazing in the glass this. Deep blurry and mild orangey colored with a dirty quickly disappearing and light sidesticking off-white head. Smells more grainy than apa-ish. Well, OK there are some fresh citrussy tones going on here with a little bit of dark caramel and ripe peaches but the graininess dominates the aroma here. Haven’t had that in a kernel beer before. Tastes much better. Fresh, crisp and lots of zesty citrus bitterness. Mild oily in the mouth with a mild oily mouthfeel. Soft grassy, and reminds me of green Mr freeze. Could of course be an old bottle, but that again would be a bit strange. A tasty one with a somewhat disappointing aroma and looks. 09.11.2013

Tap @ The Kernel (Greater London). Slightly hazy yellow/golden with a small white head and heavy lacing. Aroma is of resinous hops, herbal notes and citrus. Taste is slightly sweet with resinous hops, grapefruits/citrus, good malt backbone and herbal notes. Moderate bitterness. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Dry finish. A little less explosive than the Summit Pale Ale I had just before this one, but still a very good Pale Ale and I could drink a ton of if.

Yellow golden body and stable head. Aromatic with the yeast clean so the hops get a top position. Smooth bitterness, juicy hop taste (33cl bottle from De Molen, brought by Bertanne)

Bottled from De Molen, Bodegraven. Label indicates 5.6%. Cloudy golden colored, thick lasting head. Beautiful nose of Amarillo hops, lots of tropical fruit, some yeast. Hopbitter flavor, but certainly not extreme, yeast, tropical fruit, some caramel even. Bitter finish. Fantastic session ale.

Bottle. Hazy golden with a white foam. Aromas are leafy hedgerow with yeast and woody notes. White grape with low tropical fruit and pepper. Flavours are dry and woody with spices and sweet tropical fruit. Earthy, dry and leafy with a peppery finish. Nice.

Pale lampshade golden, slight haze and slight white head. Frayed lemon and hay, soars of soapy citrus. Straight up versatile orange, light resin and quenching pineapple. Decent smooth peppery mouthfeel. Murbles of bitterness on the finish but there’s a furrowed dry white grapefruit but lasts long into the linger rather than a snappy twang. Really crisp, clean, rounded, refreshing.

Bottle 5.6%ABV - hazy gold with 1cm white head. Citrus hop aroma with a nice bready yeast malt background. Nice bitter and balanced flavour. Medium bodied, low carbonation, late and long bitter finish. Very nice and drinkable.

Bottle @ tasting, courtesy of Zer0. Another Kernel pale ale variation. Pours a hazy blonde beer with a small white head on top. Aroma is hoppy, defintely some Amarillo present. Earthy aroma’s overwhelm, backed up by some bready yeast, Flavor could use a lot more hops and therefore is being overpowered by yeast. Does not seem to fit in the palate. Quite some bitterness is still present luckily. Does not impress me much.
