Shared bottle at local tasting. ABV is 5.3%. Golden colour, moderate white head. Pleasant aroma of Cascade hops, citrussy notes, also notes of pine and tropical fruits. Very bitter flavour, too bitter in the dry finish, one-dimensional.

harrisoni (14128) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - DEC 8, 2011
Bottle from the Bottle Shop Canterbury. Gold with slight haze lasting near wbite head. Pungent enticing Cascade aroma. Earthy Cascade flavour in mouth. Moderate bitter finish. You must like Cascades to like this as there is a whole stack of them. Earthy almost to the point of woodyness. Solid malts underpin it. Very cascadey.

Bottle at home in London with Lyoli. Pours clear, orange-copper with a large, frothy white head. I tell ya, when the yeast has had time to settle in these here Kernel beers, they pour purtier than anythang I ever saw. Lovely citrus and tropical fruit aroma. Nicely balanced flavor, plenty of toasty malts, some wood and grass, dry citrus, pith, pine needles. Medium bodied with lots of smooth, massaging carbonation. Dry finish with some earthy bitterness, light sweetness, lemon, toast, wood. More carbonated than any Kernel beer I can remember, for what its worth. Very nice beer.

Very hazy orange - amber beer. Good white head. Dry palate with a little prickly carbonation. Just a little creamy malt forming the backbone. Very good hops - fresh orange with tangerine and grapefruit. Minerals. Creamy malt increases toward the dry finish. Nicely joined up with enough hop clout to be an IPA.

Scopey (7406) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 13, 2011
Bottle at home from the Kernel Brewery. It pours hazy orange, with a large white head. The nose is tangerine, kumquat, mango, salt and a touch of metal. The taste is tangerine, grapefruit, pith, earth, salt and brown bread with a long dry-citric finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. Very drinkable, good stuff!
