Bottle. Hazy gold with a white foam. Aromas are white grape and grapefruit with mint and floral pine. Soapy with pineapple and bready yeast. Flavours are sweet mixed tropical fruit with low pine and herbal notes. Leafy and peppery with coriander and mint. Very nice.

Solid enough although other beers from the kernel are outstanding. Delicate taste of citrus, pine and copper.

330ml bottle from Ales by Mail

Bottled 08.03.2013 - Pours clear golden with a smooth white head. Aroma of hay, grassy hops, pine and stingy citrus. Taste is grassy and citrusy with notes of hay and pine. Finish is stingy and hoppy. Okay, but not the best Kernel (I)PA around.

12 oz. bottle at Euston Tap, pours a cloudy golden with a small off-white head. Aroma of crackery malts, citrus hops, and some floral hops. Flavour brings out crackery malts, some dry piney hops, and a little floral hops. Very nice session pale ale, very smooth and dry. Solid thirst-quenching pale ale.

Hazy golden brown pour, citrus & passion fruit aroma with a bitter finish. As usual a high quality pale from Kernel.

33 cl bottle. Bottled on 08.03.2013. BBE 08.07.2013.
Pours slightly hazy copper color with a small white head. Aroma is surprisingly vapid at first (chilled), some very faint floral hops and mandarin, luckily the hops start to intensify later. Flavor at least has some citrus fruits, grass, some goose berries and dry pale malts. Crisp bitter palate with a dry fruity finish. Decent refreshing beer but somehow I expected a bit more.

lusikka (4039) - Tampere, FINLAND - APR 15, 2013
330 ml bottle.
Pours a cloudy yellow colour with a white lacy head. Aroma of strong floral hops, juicy exotic fruitiness and grass. Flavour of strong floral hops, grapefruit, exotic fruitiness, wood and pale malts. Medium bodied, very smooth mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Finishes very bitter and dry. Excellent stuff once again from The Kernel.

Idiosynkrasie (1832) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - APR 13, 2013
330ml bottle. Minimally cloudy orangey golden colour with average, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, white head. Hopy aroma has notes of grapefruit, pinapple and citrus. Taste is minimally sweet caramel malty, bitter hoppy overtones with a grapefruit note; sweetness fades completely in the finish and gives way for a minimally biting, bitter hoppy finish. Excellent.

Classical Kernel, enough citrus, a smidgen of malts and a whole heap of flavour. I don’t think Kernel do soap, loads of places I’m sure would come out with soap as their troupe d’oeil.
