Bottle from BEER:shop, consumed at home. 5.3%. Orangish yellow, hazy. Orange and lemon, peel, pineapple, spruce. Bittersweet taste, with a citrusy sweetness that stays with you throughout the finish and aftertaste. Proper Palette is a bit watery but otherwise a nice simple wonderful treat.

Tap at CBC Brixton, 06/2014. Pours a hazy pale orange with a white head. Sherbetty, candy aroma with a little orange. Light to medium body, mild carbonation. The lack of carbonation was unexpected - slightly lifeless. Lemon sherbet, light wood, orange... Tasty enough.

Bottle at home in London - sourced from the brewery. Pours clear gold with a creamy, white head. Very nice aroma with pissy hops, orange, grapefruit, straw, pale bread. Light-medium sweet flavor with juicy orange, tangerine, light pale bready sweetness, some minerals. Light bodied with fine, slightly softened carbonation. Great balance on the finish, incredibly smooth, with only minor bitter pine needles, lots more expressive citrusy hops, grapefruit and orange, some melon. If the condition was a little livelier this would be even better.

The Pale Ale that never was returns! Despite two searches of the brewing records, no trace of the original entry from 2010 was ever found. Four years later and here it is, for the first time! Light haze on this gold beer, small white head. Palate is light and smooth, a mild trailing crispness. Light malt base, a little dry. Good but light hops - oraneg and lemon, sherbetty but rounded off by floralness. Traces of mango and peach. Mild peel bitterness. Finishes light. Very nicely joined up. Welcome back to something that never was!
