4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
ABV 5.2%. 33cl bottle @ home from De Molen, 2 moths expired. Hazy orange color, but lots of yeast from the bottom makes it copper, big off-white creamy fully lasting excellent lacing head. Nose tropical fruits and citrus, aroma fruits, grapefruit, floral, quinie, hops, light caramel, some herbs, more hops, tons of hops. Taste light to medium sweetness, heavy hoppy bitterness, slightly acidic and salty. Medium body, sticky texture, soft carbonation but awakens and grows in the mouth, long lasting very hoppy bitter finish. Very refreshing, delicious, quite IPA-ish, great one.

4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle from Beer Gonzo, 5.3% version. Aroma is a very strong piney tropical fruits smell, which belies it’s dull cloudy light brown colour. Taste is a big punch of hops, tasty tropical fruits, juicy peach and grapefruit with a medium bitter finish. This is really well balanced, utterly delicious too.

Bottle (330 ml). Bottled on 12/04/2014. Murky orange with a medium white head and heavy lacing. Aroma is of pine, grapefruit, malt and mineral notes. Taste is slightly/moderately bitter with grapefruit, pine, good malt backbone and light peppery finish. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Dry finish. Good balance and amazing drinkability. Not stellar, but it’s doing exactly what a Pale Ale should achieve. Really quenching.
