500ml bottle from The Bottle Shop, Goods Shed, Canterbury. This one says its 5.1% ABV. I know that Evin has done several versions of this beer. I remember having a bottle even before he was selling commercially, so I guess there will be a number of versions out there. Orange gold with a slight haze and a lasting thin white head. I don’t know if Centennial is my favourite hop, but most of my favourite beers do have Centennials in and the aroma on this is magical. Lovely fresh satsuma-ry hops on aroma. Earthy in the mouth. Malts are ok, but maybe a little lacking as it is a very touch watery on the swallow. Malts could be a bit firmer. Hops on the finish are tasty enough. Overall a very drinkable, almost easy drinking 5%ish hoppy American Pale Ale. Definitely falls into the APA category. Just as I say lacking a firmness in the malts that would help on the mouthfeel and swallow.
