Hazy copper with a medium white head that dissipates, leaving a good lacing. Aroma is distant, slightly floral. Earthy flavours with hints of tropical fruit, but not too much. Plenty of citrus, and a decent bitter finish. Medium-light bodied, fairly light and fine carbonation. Goes down smoothly. Another excellent Kernel pale ale.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at the brewery. Pours clear, rich gold with a creamy, white head. Classic Kernel pale aroma, lots of pithy citrus, some juicy fruits, pine needles. Light-medium sweet flavor with a clean mineral edge, more pith, some bitter citrus rind, understated bready sweetness. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with mellow hop resins, some dry mineral flint, orange pith, grapefruit, softened pine, balancing sugars. Great balance. Lean. Exceedingly drinkable.

Keg @ BrewDog. Hazy orange amber, reasonable head. Grain tropical fruit & hop aroma. Dry woody grapefruit flavour. Bitter aftertaste. A solid Kernel Pale ale.

Keg @ Euston Tap. Pours hazy orange, fresh tasting with a tamed hop dosage making it very thirst-quenching and drinkable on a sunny day like today. Light grapefruit, melon & tropical fruits with a nice subtle bitterness.

Keg at CBC Holborn, 18/06/14. Very lightly hazed orange amber with a moderate off white covering that retains well. Nose is juicy hoppgate, bitter orange, melon, light bread dough, tangerine, pink grapefruit. Taste comprises citric sherbets, tangerine, straw, light grapefruit, cotton candy. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a dose of hop bitterness. Solid APA but not Kernels best.

Craft Covent Garden. Keg. Very hazy gold - amber beer. Good white head. Palate is airy with fine carbonation. Very light malt base. Touch of fresh orange and traces of lemon and grapefruit peel. Hop spice. Nice piney floralness before a crisp finish which also adds mild tropical fruits. Very nice, lots going on.

Tap at the brewery. Hazy, yellow. Thin, white, sticky head. Grapefruit. Tropical fruit. Biscuity malt. Taste is dry and bitter. Fresh, juicy, crunchy palate. Plenty of malty sweetness. Dry, then long and bitter, on the end. Gluggable.
