Bottle 5.1% courtesy of mr_h. Cloudy amber brown colour, reasonable head, lot of sediment. Big hoppy pine aroma & flavour. Smooth with sweet hoppy aftertaste. Another winner from The Kernel.

Bottle 5.1%. Hazy blond colour. Aroma is hoppy and fruity - passionfruit and pink grapefruit. The flavour is similar with the fruitiness giving initial sweetness then the strong hop gives a long bitter finish. The balance feels good one this one.

August 25, 2012 - Draught at The Kernel (Bermondsey). Orange-gold with a very attractive large frothy white head, nice lacing. Aroma - so juicy and pungent smelling, just a little alcohol - nicely balanced, my mouth watered ("it good!"). Taste follows - citrus, light pine, floral - lovely. Average body, decent airy carbonation, medium-long juicy/grapefruit finish ... as always with the Kernel brews, simple, straightforward, rock-solidly made. I had two more.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 AshtonMcCobb (1442) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - SEP 1, 2012
50cl bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours a cloudy orangey-brown with a nice sized head. The nose has grapefruit and barley water. The taste has oranges leading into grapefruit and then grapefruit pith. The palate is medium bodied with a creamy texture and a dry bitter finish. Overall, good but a little too bitter to be balanced.

On keg at The Bow Bar. Pours a cloudy light golden colour with a fair white head. A huge passion fruit aroma before pineapple, caramel and alcohol. Similar flavours with mild carbonation and an oily mouth-feel. Nicely bitter with lingering passion fruit again. Lovely.
4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 jamestulloch (476) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 16, 2012
UPDATED: AUG 17, 2012 Aroma: Huge tangerine, grapefruit and apricot aroma. Subtle pine notes, but the fruity hops dominate.
Appearance: Slightly milky, pale orange body with a small white head that quickly fades. Fantastic lacing.
Taste: Fruit salad taste that reminds me of Jelly Tots sweets. Like the aroma, tangerine, grapefruit and apricot are the key flavours. Very juicy, with a lovely balance between the sharp tanginess and fruity sweetness.
Palate: Light to medium body with a slick mouthfeel. Very soft carbonation.
Overall: This is the first Kernel beer I’ve had on cask and it’s truly incredible. This pale ale is very light and fruity - I could drink it all day.
