Cloudy gold, with a tiny layer of white head. Not much going on with the mouth feel. Peach and mango up front, some pine, not much from the malt, and an orange peel finish. Bit underwhelming.

UPDATED: MAR 14, 2016 Keg at Cafe Oto. A bit less murky than most Kernel pales. Light lemon and lime aroma. Bit of grapefruit and some dank hops. Taste is medium dry and bitter with a zippy effervescent carbonation. Light and refreshing.

Bottle at home picked up from the brewery. Nice Kernel catch up rate. Translucent golden dull orange coloured pour with a lasting thin film of white head.Aroma is really nice pithy citrus, orange with fleshy mango, Flavour is composed of bready, doughy malts, orange and mango. Assertive, slightly rough grassy hop bitterness. Palate is semi sweet, grainy, highish carbonation. Good.

330ml bottle from drinkmonger. Pours hazy gild, thin white head. Grapefruit aromas, light tropical fruit. Taste is bitter, needs a bit of malt backbone. Not bad though.

Pours murky amber with a finger of white head. Aroma of citrus, malt, bread, light fruit. Taste is heavy bitter up front with long astringent bitter finish. Body is a tad too light, somewhat sticky, with average carbonation.

Aug 2012 - Bottle. Taste is grapefruit, pineapple, hoppy bitterness at end. More balanced than a lot of Kernel beers, but still has the distinctive flavours. Quite good. (3.6)

Aug 2014 - Bottle, 5.3%, 22/07/14. Hazy orange, still, small white head. Aroma is light lemon. Body is medium, light spritz. Taste is more lemon and lager. OK. (3.4)

UPDATED: AUG 25, 2014 5.3% version, bottled 22/07/14. Bottle from BottleDog, London, drank at home.Delicious aroma of citrus, resin, pine, and some light hay maltiness. Burnished gold, clear, with minimal quickly-dissipating off-white head. Medium sweet then plenty of lasting bitterness. Medium body, creamy, soft carb/almost flat (like well-conditioned cask ale), long bitter finish.Overall, what would have been a really solid effort for a single hop APA is spoiled somewhat by being flat. I guess it?s about expectations; had I ordered it off a handpull it would?ve been different.
