Bottle I had was 5.3% and titled Cascade Citra’. Pours hazy amber, huge white head. Nose is very piney, lots of citrous flavours mainly lemon and grapefruit. Some tropical fruit too. Papaya, pineapple, mango. Taste is a little flatter and lacking carbonation. It’s tropical fruit, pine, and a bitter citrous finish. There’s some lingering papaya, mango and grapefruit. Nice but has lost a bit of fizz.

Bottle 500ml.

Unclear medium orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, citrus, grapefruit, orange - citrus. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, citrus, grapefruit, chlorine notes ! Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20111031]

Bottle from Mr Lawrence, Brockley. Shared with Slothez. Hazy orange pour with a lingering thin white head. Fragrant hop and tropical fruit aplenty in the snout, which continued on into the flavour. Lovely fruitiness and cracking bitterness. A pleasure to drink. Another winner from probably the Uk’s number one. Am yet to down a beer by the Kernel which I haven’t liked in some way.

Bottle at home, 21st November 2011. Nice clear pour and a lingering small head and lacing. I get peach a little grapefruit and pine. Generally a very fruity beer. Good beer, but, I prefer the Kernel IPAs

Bottle from an offie in Coventry. Murky orange, full condition, thin white head going the distance. Nose neat Fruit Salad chew, hop joy, flowers and honey, mango, Chewits....Really good sweaty, floral, tropical hop. Mouth a cacophony of Fruit Salad, mango, stewed Darjeeling tipping into a mellow, dunked digestive finish. The Kernel deliver again. Brilliant beer.

50 cl bottle, Sheffield, UK via Beer-Ritz, Leeds. Medium gold, translucent, heavy orange/citrus aroma with honey and sap. An earthiness, then some bread and sweetness that leads to a long building mouth filling bitterness. If this is the one of the lower rated The Kernel has to offer I’m looking forward to the other bottles I’ve picked up.

Sampled from bottle at Scopeys 2nd East Croydon Beer tasting, thanks to Nate. Hazy light orange color, medium sized white head. Smell a lot of pine, resin and hops. Taste lightly sour hints, hops, slightly fruity and bitter. Dry and bitter finish. Low to average carbonation, low to medium body.

Bottled. An unclear dark golden beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of lemons and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw, malt, and some strus fruits, leading to abitter finish.
