Been drinking a lot of bottles of Kernel recently and while they have all been great, I really thought this was a cut above the rest and was just so drinkable. 500ml bottle from Kris Wines. Pours a hazy light yellow with a few white bubbles. Aroma is subtle citrus fruits, slightly floral, fresh hops and buttery shortbread. Taste is the outstanding part. Light carbonation, juicy but sublte fruit. Mouth watering. Delicately dry and a touch of yeast in the finish. Yet more fruit in the aftertaste. Superb

Bottle from the brewery and drunk at home. Hazy dirty gold colour with lasting white head. Grapefruit and tangerine aroma. Same as the flavour. Light bitterness on the finish. Great fruit as usual, a little earthy maybe. Very drinkable. Just a great fruity pale ale.

Bottle. Hop Hideout, Sheffield. Mucky gold. Kernel head. Aroma of mango. Watermelon skin. Orange flesh. Orange pith. Soft, fusty malts. Taste has a soft malt sweetness, before getting pithy and light dry. Slightly oily mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Finishes pithy and dry.

Tap @ Beer Temple (?). Hazy yellow/straw colored. Uneven white head. Aroma’s: resin & citrus. Retronasal it’s more citrus (notably grapefruit) than resin. Flavor is moderate to full bitter with a light maltiness. Light to medium bodied. Dry and firm bitter finish. Can’t go wrong with The Kernel!
