Keg at The Hop Inn, Newcastle-Under-Lyme. A hazy golden colour with a medium white head. Aroma of peach, passion fruit, grapefruit, a little pine, slight pineapple and subtle spicy, floral hops. Taste of peach, melon, grapefruit, some pine, slight passion fruit, a little pale malt plus spicy and subtle floral hops. Medium bodied and moderate carbonation. A dry, citrusy, spicy hop bitterness in the finish. A very refreshing pale ale, nice tropical fruit characteristics from the citra hop and perfectly balanced. Nice.

Bottle from Kris Wines, London. Sweet citrus fruits, tropical aroma mixed with some pine. Taste is juicy peach, mango, citrus mixed with slightly savoury notes which I assume us from the chinook. Resinous and bold finish. Tasty.

Been drinking a lot of bottles of Kernel recently and while they have all been great, I really thought this was a cut above the rest and was just so drinkable. 500ml bottle from Kris Wines. Pours a hazy light yellow with a few white bubbles. Aroma is subtle citrus fruits, slightly floral, fresh hops and buttery shortbread. Taste is the outstanding part. Light carbonation, juicy but sublte fruit. Mouth watering. Delicately dry and a touch of yeast in the finish. Yet more fruit in the aftertaste. Superb

330ml bottle, 5.4% bottled 01/09/15. Hazy orange, lightly sparkling, small foamy white head. Aroma is pineapple juice, honeyish malt, pine. Body is medium, smooth, tingly carbonation. Taste is oily citrus, honey, mint, light earthy notes. Crisp and really drinkable. An outstanding APA.
