Bottled. An unclear golden beer with a lazing white head. The aroma has notes of citrusy hops, malt, and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, straw, and lemons, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle from Union Tavern, Westbourne, London, consumed Friday 13th December 2013 back in (Frank) camper, Peploe Road. Pours hazy gold with white head. Fruity, mostly citrus, bittersweet, hoppy burps aplenty. Shorter dry finish than others tonight but softening at end. As always from Kernel this is very nice. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

Bottled 25.09.13 - Pours clear orange with a bubbly white head. Aroma of crisp malts, citrus, grass, hints of raw dough and stingy floral notes. Taste is crisp, hoppy, citrusy and grassy with some sitngy floral notes. Finish is smooth, hoppy and fruity with floral and grassy notes. Okay, quite crisp pale ale.

olio (6494) - Tampere, FINLAND - DEC 6, 2013
33 cl bottle.
Pours hazy orange color with a medium sized head. Aroma is sweet with caramel malts, lots of resinous hops, some pine and mild floral notes. Flavor is also sweet and caramelly, resinous hops, goose berries and citric fruits follow. Not as refreshing as I hoped and leans a bit too much to the sweet side.

330 ml bottle.
Pours a cloudy dark orange colour with a small head. Aroma of rich dried papaya, pineapple and grass. Flavour of rich floral bitterness, papaya, mango, strong herbs, lime and pine. Medium bodied, smooth mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Finishes very juicy, bitter and earthy. Refreshing but lacks something.

Idiosynkrasie (4081) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - NOV 29, 2013
330ml bottle [5.4% abv]. Cloudy, orangey dark golden to pale amber colour with small, thick, creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, white head. Fruity hoppy aroma has notes of grapefruit and mango, an earthy, dirty touch of clammy sand. Taste is earthy hoppy with a cautious touch of bitter nut parings, some hazelnut, walnut. Slightly untypical bitterness, more nutty than fruity. Not bad, though - still dangerously quaffable and involving the risk of addiction the Kernel stuff usually brings about.

Bottle at home from ales ny mail
Hazy mid amber with frothy white lacing. Rich orangey citrus hops, slightly meaty notes, soft carbonation, rounded body, juicy fruit notes slight bitterness. Less resinous and in your face than some kernels but enjoyable all the same.

Tap at the Queen’s Head, King Cross area, 13/11/13. Lightly hazed golden with a moderate off white covering. Nose is juicy hops, light pine, citric fruits, grapefruit, bitter orange, grassy, touch of mango. Taste comprises orange pith, juicy hop presence retains, light mango pulp, mandarin, shaving of pine. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, nice level of hop bitterness lingers in the finale. Solid Kernel APAmanship.
