Bottled around 2 months ago at 5.4%. Hazy orange, sparkling, small white head. Aroma is strong fruit salad - peach, mango, kiwi. Body is medium, low-ish carbonation. Taste is very light - sparkling water, touch of ashy hop, straw. Great aroma, pity it doesn’t translate into the taste.

Hazy copper with a small off-white head. Musty citrus aroma. Flavours of grapefruit, pine, earthy notes, some stone fruit. Quite sweet initially before a robust bitter finish. Medium bodied, slightly oily, fairly light carbonation. Another awesome pale ale from The Kernel.

W aromacie wyraźna cytrusowość, grejpfrut, cytryna, lekkie nuty kwiatowe, gdzieś w tle też słodkie nuty mango. W smaku nieco zachowawcze, ale dostojne zarazem, lekka, biszkoptowa słodowość plus wyraźna grejpfrutowa goryczka o krótkim, ale wyrazistym finiszu. Wszystko na swoim miejscu.

On tap at the brewery. Two of my favourite hops of all time. Hazy gold lasting cream head. Grapefruit leaps out of the glass. It is sublime. After a 25 min cycle ride across London it’s perfect. Lovely grapefruit tangerine flavour. Some bitterness on the finish. Refreshing and fruity.

Keg at the Harp - Covent Garden, London. Pours mostly clear, yellow-gold with a frothy, white head. Classic Kernel APA. Clean and pithy, with understated pale malt sugars, lots of pithy citrus character, some grapefruit, faintly tangy tangerine, lemon rind, some pine needles. Light to medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Nicely balanced to finish, with subtle hoppy resins and lingering pithy citrus. Great stuff.

Hazy gold beer, small white head. Palate is light and semi dry and mildly crisp. Light airy malt base that provides a nice amount of sweetness. Light fresh orange hops with hop spice. Light airy finish. A spice fruity PA from Kernel that is good but doesn’t quite sing like most Kernels.

500mL bottle, pours cloudy pale orangey yellow with a small white head. Nose brings out floral hops and a little pine. Flavour is similar, with loads of floral hops, light fruitiness and a dry biscuity malt backing. Excellent version of the pale ale. Dry, refreshing and highly drinkable

Bottle from Sourced Market, St. Pancras. Hazy, pale gold. Thin, bubbly, lasting, white head. Orange pith. Lemon ice cream. Light, pine woodiness in there, too. Taste is light bitter. Light dry. Palate is airy and creamy. Finish has a light, spicy, almost aniseed, dryness. Light bitterness, too.

Bottle at the brewery, 31/05/14. Lightly hazed golden orange with a moderate off white swirl and edgeing. Nose is bitter citric peel, lemon rind, orange pith, straw, sticky tropical jammings, hint of bread. Taste comprises toasted malt, orange pith, straw, mandarin, apricot, earthy hops. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close with light hop bitterness. Decent enough APA but a few notches off Kernels best offerings in this department.

Bottle at brewery. Cats piss, light herby aroma with a little lemon. Light to medium body, medium carbonation. Light lemon, pine, a little wood, grapefruit. Tasty.
