Bottle from Chester Beer and Wine, Hoole. Pours a slightly hazy golden amber with a one finger thick white head. Aroma is tropical fruits, orange zest and grapefruit. Taste is mango, orange, grapefruity herbal hops with a fruity dry finish. Nicely carbonated and silky mouthfeel. Awesome as always, and well appreciated after three weeks of non-stop work!

Bottle from Beermerchants, Bottled 27.4.14, labeled as Simcoe Columbus. Pours light hazy golden with a 2" creamy off-white head.Aroma of mango, malts, grapefruit and oranges. Taste is moderate sweet fruity, with a distinct light bitter orange and grapefruit, long lasting. Soft carbonated, light soapy mouthfeel, still a very decent beer overall.

wyzzywyz22 (1961) - Wirral, Merseyside, ENGLAND - AUG 16, 2013
Bottle, Spring 2013 from Beer Ritz, Leeds. Slightly hazy golden pour, crowned with a bubbly white head. Enticing nose containing some lovely fruit. Flavour was piney hop, citrus and a little sweet malt. Dried out towards the finish. All told, a cracking APA that is oh so drinkable.

Bottle at Ales and Tails, Twickenham, 02/03/13. Bottled 14/12/12. Lightly hazed golden amber with a thin white head. Nose is hops, orange squash, light grapefruit, mango. Taste follows, orange pith, light mango, grapefruit, pine, hops. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, some bitterness in a dryish finish. Decent stuff but not the best Kernel APA.

Bottle, thanks to jackl at Craft Beer Co, Clerkenwell. It pours hazy golden yellow with a medium white head. The nose is orange, tangerine, mango, passion fruit and light spice. The taste is earth, wood, pithy citrus, tangerine, grapefruit, passion fruit and light spice with a pleasantly bitter finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Smooth, well-balanced and flavoursome.

Pours a cloudy dark golden with two fingers of foamy white head. Aroma is peach for days and a bit of pine resin. Very strong. Taste is a bit of peach, grapefruit bitterness, slight resin and something else that?s really lovely but I can?t put my finger on. Delicious and balanced.

jackl (4596) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - FEB 5, 2013
Bottle @ Byron Burger, South Ken. The pour’s a clear golden amber color with a small white head. The nose is tangerine, light soap, fresh resinous pine tree and a bit of cheese. The taste is quite woody, full of coniferous freshness. A touch of citrus and exotic fruit. Dry bitterness on the finish. Medium body, active carbonation. Overall, a touch too dry to be considered a top-shelf Kernel brew. Still, good.

DruncanVeasey (7191) - NUNEATON, Top 18, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - FEB 5, 2013
500ml bottle- all of it, bits included. Beautiful fresh squeezed grapefruit, pine sap, intense flowers, almost patchouli nose. Lean and punishing with an iron-like richness; soap and flowers, G+T dryness, husk, greenery. Fairly massive bitterness subsiding into biscuit crumbs and a dab of honey. Finely misted orange with a low white head. Almost too much.
