Hazy amber beer, little off white head. Palate is smooth with mild fine carbonation. Semi dry. Light malt. Good marmalade, little fresher orange. A bare whisper of Nelson grape. Finishes soft. This is a nice beer but unusually for Kernel doesn’t show the hops off at their best. Strong bitter linger.

BB 17/11-13. Bottle @ Alesbymail. Pours hazy golden with a small creamy head. Gasoline, cheese, berries and grapefruit. Dry and bitter. Smooth and dry. Too cheesy. Almost over the top.

Bottle from the brewery drunk at home. Hazy orange amber gold with lasting off white head. I seem to have drunk most of this and made no notes. Yes the tropical fruit is decent some biting acidity on the finish. It’s pleasant without being top notch. Full of flavour on the finish though.

Bottle at home in London with Lyoli. Pours clear gold with a moderate, frothy head. Aroma holds dry citrus and pine needles. Light sweet flavor with dry orange and tangerine, some grass and pine needles, simple pale malts. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly dry and grassy to finish with subtle pale malt sweetness. Very nice.

Draught at Craft Beer, Clerkenwell. Cloudy orange/golden beer with a nice offwhite head. Fruity aroma, pine apples, peach, fruit cocktail, hay, caramel, pear, mango, citrus, some floral notes. Hoppy bitter flavor, pine needles, grapes, citrus, hay, peach, raisins, woody notes. Hoppy fruity finish. Good beer but I was hoping for even more with this hop-combination.

Bottle at home, wee hours of 24/08/13, from the brewery. Hazed orange amber with a decent sized off white head. Nose is grass, bitter orange, light burnt rubber notes, hops, light floral notes and a touch of stairwell next morning piss. Taste comprises bitter hops, mineral notes, orange pith, bitter grapefruit. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry finish with hop bitterness, dank pine. Not my favourite APA from the Kernel, a little overly bitter and tarte, decent drinkable fayre none the less.
