November 2, 2012 - with blankboy, gregclow, jercraigs & mabel - my 500ml bottle purchased from the brewery in late August. Very clear light gold with a smallish creamy/fizzy off-white head. Aroma is acidic, some alcohol, very light slightly sweet fresh grain, some resin and vague pineapple - it stood up well. Taste follows - acidic and oily, a little funky-sour, smelled better - thickish, decent carbonation, long low-level bitter finish, quite coating - interesting fruit character and a different bitterness, I am not that familiar with this hop. Good.

Draught @ Old Fountain, 3 Baldwin Street, London, Greater London, England EC1V 9NU.

Unclear medium orange yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, pale malt, moderate to heavy hoppy, citrus, orange - citrus, tropical fruit. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, fruity, tropical fruity hops, citrus, soapy hops. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120806]

2012-11-02. Crisp bright orange body, small off-white head. 3+ Modest hoppy aroma, lightly fruity quality that I can’t place. 7+ Quite interesting, light riesling like petrol touches, Flavour has green leafy hop character, odd bitterness to it, fruit hops. Okay, but a bit strange. 6+ Average bodied palate. Really interesting hop character but I am not sure I care for it. Bottle shared by HogTownHarry

Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. A cloudy yellow beer with tropical fruit and orange marmalade flavours followed by sweet and bitterness on the finish.

Bottle [500ml] shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, jerc & mabel -- c/o HogTownHarry. Nov. 2. Pours a hazy gold with a small frothy white head. Aroma of very catty hops along with some fruit and malt in the back. Flavour is hoppy and fruity along with an average bitter finish. Average bodied. Just good, I don’t love the hops used.

The head is medium, the body orange-brown. It smells very citrus-bitter. The taste is citrus-grape, then fruity-bitter, nice hoppy. This beer is better without the last rest in the bottle. Very nice! 12/12/12/12/11/12

Really strong ’green’ hoppy aroma. Flavour has a sharp grapefruit taste. Then a strong bitter, hoppy finish. Very light and easy to drink.

Bottle from Mr Lawrence Wine Merchants, Brockley. Amber pour with a white head. Tangerine and grapefruit aroma. Crisp citrus action, bit of orange peel in the flavour too. Very smooth. Liked this one very much.

Probably my favourite of the lighter Kernel beers I’ve tried. Less assertively hopped than the others. Quite a gentle drink with a lemon taste.
