Very hazy amber beer, small off white head. Palate is light and crispy. Lovely fresh beer! Nice floral notes - typically Motueka. Well balanced with mildly bitter citrus and tangerine and grapefruit. A sweeter orange note before malt cream becomes noticeable. Finishes crispy with whispers of lemon and grapefruit. After a long journey back from the Olympics - this really hits the spot! Nice medium bitter aftertaste. A belter of a Pale Ale!

Bottle at home in London with Lyoli. Pours an almost clear gold with a small, white foam head. Gorgeous aroma of dry grapefruit and grass. Light to medium sweet with moderate bitterness of melon, grapefruit, dry grass, subtle lemon. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Mild dry finish, some citrusy sugars, some sun-drenched grass, some crispy wood, pale malts, and lasting grapefruit. Excellent APA.

2012-11-02. Crisp bright orange body, small off-white head. 3+ Modest hoppy aroma, lightly fruity quality that I canít place. 7+ Quite interesting, light riesling like petrol touches, Flavour has green leafy hop character, odd bitterness to it, fruit hops. Okay, but a bit strange. 6+ Average bodied palate. Really interesting hop character but I am not sure I care for it. Bottle shared by HogTownHarry

Bottle from Beer Boutique, Putney. It pours clear golden, with a medium white head. The nose is orange, mango, sweet tangerine, tinned peach, icing sugar and metal, with a lingering herbal note (sage?). The taste is creamy, zesty citrus, tangerine, tinned peach, apricot, peppery spice, light herbal and some soapiness, with a very dry, citric finish. A solid APA, but the motueka doesnít do anything for me....

500ml bottle, bits and all. Clouded orange with a fine slim foam. Fairly outrageous soapy aroma with florid tropical, pineapple, mango, Fruit Salad chew and guava notes. Big perfumed tropical hop with a dry bitter finish that sneaks up on you. Deep husk and grapefruit bitterness. Deeply soupy on the dregs but thatís Kernel.

Bottle [500ml] shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, jerc & mabel -- c/o HogTownHarry. Nov. 2. Pours a hazy gold with a small frothy white head. Aroma of very catty hops along with some fruit and malt in the back. Flavour is hoppy and fruity along with an average bitter finish. Average bodied. Just good, I donít love the hops used.

November 2, 2012 - with blankboy, gregclow, jercraigs & mabel - my 500ml bottle purchased from the brewery in late August. Very clear light gold with a smallish creamy/fizzy off-white head. Aroma is acidic, some alcohol, very light slightly sweet fresh grain, some resin and vague pineapple - it stood up well. Taste follows - acidic and oily, a little funky-sour, smelled better - thickish, decent carbonation, long low-level bitter finish, quite coating - interesting fruit character and a different bitterness, I am not that familiar with this hop. Good.
