Cask (gravity) @ Borefts Bier Festival 2011, Brouwerij de Molen, Bodegraven, Netherlands.

Unclear light to medium yellow colour with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, citrus, lemon, cat piss. Lovely hop aroma ;O) Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. [20110923]

Sampled at Borefts Beer Festival @ De Molen, Bodegraven. Pale yellow color, no head. Smell fresh, hoppy. Taste fresh, some bitter but pretty low on the hops in my opinion. Decent beer, but nothing special I’d say.

Cask, gravity at the Boreft Beer Festival, De Molen, Bodegraven, Netherlands 24.09.11 One of the very few Kernel beers that I’ve had from a cask. Poured warm gold some haze, soft in mouth and not quite got the zappiness and hop kick of others from the Kernel stable but I suppose the others I have are more often IPA’s. Some soft sweetish lemon and then a dry, bitter, curly finish but it is much more gentle maybe because of the lack of carbonation, however it is very agreeable. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Cask @ Borefts Beer Festival. Hazy yellow, not much head. Aroma is nice and hoppy, orange, sour fruits like citrus and pineapple, a hint of bubble gum, candy floss, a dank characteristic along with the slightly rural and hayish yeast that characterizes many of The Kernel’s beers. Taste is hoppy harmony, all the tropical marvelousness of the aroma, balanced bitterness and the Kernel’s yeast which I find very interesting. A lovely APA!

Cask at BBF. Cloudy lemonade color. No head, no carbonation. Hoppy, very hoppy in the nose. Citrusy, lemon and grapefruit mostly. Sweet and malty with a huge hop taste and aftertaste. If this was carbonated it would be one hell of a beer. Not bad flat, but could be better.
