500ml bottle. Pours a slightly hazy light gold with a medium, frothy head. Aroma is mango and guava. Rubicon guava. Fresh and fruity. Taste isn’t as strong, mango start. Medium bitter hoppy finish. Tasty stuff.

500ml bottle hand labelled for me by Nate at the brewery. Slight haze on a pale orange brown gold colour. Lasting white head. Head retention is good. Tropical fruit aroma. mango and guava. Huge mango. I should know, I skinned and chopped up two large ones this afternoon. Some leafy hop too. Great aroma. Perfect mouthfeel. Mouth flavours don’t quite live up to the aroma. Needs a touch more malt backbone to carry this immense fruit. I’ve pulled something in my back and it’s killing me. But even that can’t take away from the aroma of this beer. Yes more tropical fruit on finish, but with some earthy muddiness too. Not overly bitter. Awesome aroma. Maybe the hop needs to be blended with something else to give it that bit more finish. Very drinkable though. I know I keep saying this, but please stop making beers this good will you? It spoils everything else I drink. Only joking.

Bottle at Leighton’s Aug 11 tasting. It pours hazy golden yellow, with a thick white head. The nose is grass, pine, grapefruit, passion fruit, lemon, lime and floral. The taste is pine, grass, hay, orange, lemon, lime, passion fruit, marmalade and floral, with a dry, citrusy finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Tasty and massively drinkable.

Hazy orange gold beer, small white head. Light semi crisp palate, just a tad dry. Smooth hops that are tasty and interesting. Subtle peach and melon. A modicum of Nelson Sauvin like ’filth’ but pretty mild. Mild elderflower and a trace of sour lemon. Grapefruit only shows at the end and brings some bitterness. Finishes semi dry with mild minerals and a mildy bitter aftertaste. Really hope the boys do a full IPA with this cracking hop!

Bottle at home. Bright, slightly hazy orange yellow with a small white head, fades to thin soapy film. Nose is pineapple, spruce, some bright citrus flavours too. Sweet pineapple and orange front with a real woody note and a dry grapefruit hop finish. Awesome beer.

Bottle at a tasting, now with Nate and Paul. Pours clear, bright gold with a small, white head. Very clean nose, grass and pine, slight lime. Very well balanced flavor, light to medium sweet, some tropical fruits, bit more grass. Medium in body with fine to average carbonation. Semi-crisp finish, good balance, a bit of pine, some tropical citrus. Ultimate drinkability. Awesome beer.

Bottle. Hazy gold with a white foam. Aromas are very floral and piney with sandalwood and zesty lemon. Lychee with pepper and hints of butter. Flavours are grapefruit and green pine with spiced oranges and floral, spicy notes. Juicy with aftershave with tinned pineapple juice. Dry and peppery on the finish with a long bitter, green aftertaste. Really good.
