Bottle from Cotterige Wines, Birmingham. Poured a cloudy yellow with a broken white head. The aroma is big floral fruity and caramel. The flavour is bitter grassy and floral. Typical Nelson Saivin. A superb pale ale and great value for money.
4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 RichardW (1175) - Carlisle, Cumbria, ENGLAND - OCT 5, 2012
50cl bottle beermerchants.com. Lovely clear burnt gold appearance. Loads of grapefruit, giving subtle, soft bitterness. Some peaches and cream balance it out but the finish is long, bitter and satisfying.
3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 lortsker (332) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - SEP 27, 2012
Bottle @ Pitt cue co. Pours hazy straw yellow wit a very small head. Aroma is loads of mango, Passionfruit , sweet citrussy fruitiness, peach, and pineapple, lovely aroma, some slight yeasty notes as well. Taste follows the nose but with a hit grassy resiny notes as well. Really refreshing!

Bottle from brewery. Colour is cloudy orange, big foaming white head. Nose is that great earthy rain on tarmac Nelson Sauvin, but also lots of soft tropical fruit. loads of citrous lemon and grapefruit, minerally and pine. Taste is big hit of citrous lemon and grapefruit, soft tropical fruits and the earthy rain on tarmac nelson hops. It;s been a while since I’ve had a big moment on a Kernel pale ale, but this is the one. Lovely beer.

Purchase at the Brewery and drank at home in Jan ’12@ 5.4% ABV.
Pours a murky orange colour, you can’t see your fingers even if you wiggle them on the other side of the glass !!! Small white head throughout drinking.
Fantastic aroma, Nelson Sauvin hops, pine, hops, pine - it’s all in the nose on this beer!
Some tropical fruits in the flavour, maybe mango, slight grapefruit taste. definite taste of wood and slight spicing. Sour to bitter in the aftertaste, dryish finish.
Medium bodied beer, little carbonation.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 tommann (2029) - Dudley, West Midlands, ENGLAND - JUN 28, 2012
500ml bottle at 5.5%. Pours a slightly hazy orange gold with a small head. Aroma is subtle, lime and mango. Taste is a little bland, some watery lime to start and mango in the light, bitter finish.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 thepeter (274) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 23, 2012
Poured a hazy orange with a thin head that remained and sticky lacing. Smells of heavy pine, sap, needles, bark, the whole sha-bang!! touch of honey as well. Tastes much more balanced, pine still there and dominant but not as much as the smell would indicate. Not as floural or citrusy but very drinkable and a crisp clean after taste. Palate is medium with nice carbonation and very pleasant on the tongue. Overall another Great beer from the Kernel.
