Tap at Crown and Anchor. Slightly hazy pale orange. White head barely there, nice lacing. Really perfumy, candy aroma. Full mouthfeel. Taste is hops, bitterness and fake chocolate candy alongside a little maltiness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at home, from the brewery, 14/05/13. Hazed dark orange/murky amber with a thin white head. Nose is bitter tropical fruits, dank orange, grapefruit, mango, light glue notes, caramel, hops, slight burnt/sour tropical fruit tones. Taste comprises bitter orange, grapefruit, hops, light pine, sugars. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, hop bitterness in the finish. This was a real bitter number, drinkable stuff, but lower down the pecking order of Kernel APA’s for me!

Backlog rate. Bready, chunky, hoppy pale ale, not as many fruit notes as other Kernel pales and IPAs but still superior!

Bottle from Ober. Copper pour with a bright white head. Great citrusy aroma with orange, caramel malts and light grassy notes. Great orange and tropical fruit flavors and just enough malt. Damn good!

500ml bottle from The Bottle Shop, Canterbury. Clear pale gold with lasting white head. Leafy hoppy aroma with tangerine and orange fruit aroma. Rather a good pale ale with lovely tangerine fruits. Some bitterness on the finish. Yes pretty good I thought, very drinkable

Bottle from Mr Lawrence Wine Merchants, Brockley. Cloudy orange pour with a white head. Nice nose of citrus, pine and herbs with a dash of pineapple. Grapefruit and tangerine flavour. Full on citrus burst on the palate. Bitter-fruit finish. Very nice indeed.

Bottle. Hazy orange brown with a large fluffy foam. Aromas are soft sliced oranges with creamy oak barrel and low woody, floral pine. Caramel with bready yeast and pepper. Herbal with toast and apricot. Flavours are sweet yet mellow citrus fruit with a woody dryness. Spicy on the palate with honey and lemon lozenges with caramel. Dry and earthy on the finish with low bitterness and spruce. Another good profile of a hop.
