Bottle at the brewery. Pours cloudy gold with a big, fluffy white head. Has a huge, juicy hop nose, tropical to the max, light grass and pine. Great flavor, very clean, light to medium sweet, mild notes of pine, lots of citrus. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Clean, faintly sticky finish with more floral hops. Just an overall outstanding APA.

In bottle. Pours a blonde colour with a thick white head. Resinous aroma of fresh cut hops with pine, passion fruit, caramel and barley. Similar flavours with a chewy mouth-feel. Mild carbonation. Very nice.

Bottle from Beermerchants.com.Pours light hazy golden with a big spongy/creamy white head. Aroma is hop deliciuos de luxe, piney and grassy with some fruity sweet aromas as well. Taste is clean, medium sweet with strong piney hops and citrus. Good carbonation helps lift the hops to the front seat, very crisp and moresih, perfectly balanced. Ends light sticky with flowers and grapefruit. Another one hitting the spot from Kernel

0.5l bottle from beermerchants.com It pours a golden cloudy body with a small almost bubbly just off-white head. On the aroma I get lots of piny hops - almost like smelling a pine busk actually, annd there is also some nice sweet tropical peachy tones here as well. Quite enjoyable for a pale ale, and and overall really nice! Well, if the aroma was nice, the flavor is even better. Much the same as the aroma with hoppy peachy, light mild citrus, some apricots, pineapple and piny tones perfectly mixed in a smooth blender. My god this is easy, smooth and light drinkable. Imagine to have this as a 6pack in the store! Must admit this one disappeared so quickly that I hardly had time rating it. Want a new one! NOW! 17.03.2012

Pours light cloudy orange. Not as murky as the IPAs. Nose is musky farmyard, grapefruit citrous. Taste is really nice and light. No pine resin. Citrousy and not too bitter. Maybe a bit of grapefruit, lemon etc, and finish is light and crisp citrous.

Bottle from Euston Tap, via Gurd. Smells pretty muted, but the piney hop notes are there. Just as they are in the taste, but it’s rather a fleeting hop buzz, epilogued by a clean, fizzy finish. Better when poured with a substantial bit of the sediment:- more smooth, tangy and flavoursome. Good, but middling for Kernel.

50cl bottle from the brewery. Hazy paleish orange gold with lasting thin white head. Lime jelly on the aroma. Touch of tangerine. Touch of woody earthyness. Cascades are earthy and so is this but light earthyness. Robertson’s lime jelly on the flavour too. Some bitterness on the finish. OK, so not a big in your face beer and I have a feeling people may rate this not as high as others, but there are some subtle high notes on this that are really quite attractive. Almost ethereal. Different and interestingly drinkable and that lime edge is really quite attractive.

Cloudy amber beer, good white head. Crisp palate. Fresh minerally orange and a touch of grapefruit and a whisper of lemon. Finishes semi dry. Mildly bitter aftertaste. Refreshing and very drinkable pale ale.
