Pours hazy golden color with a small head. Aroma of nuts, toffee notes, sweet fruits and some hops. Flavor of caramel malts, nuts, some biscuits, resin and faint hop notes. Low carbonation, slick palate. Not refreshing enough, a bit too nutty also.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
500 ml bottle.
Pours an unclear golden colour with a white foamy head, which fades quickly. Aroma of caramel malts, nettles, hay and strong grassy notes. Flavour of strong grassy hops, caramel malts, strong grapefruit, nettles, fruitcake and some yeastiness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation and a lingering bitter finish. Maybe a tad too musty and not as refreshing I was hoping for, but still a good beer.

Taste is minimally sweet caramel malty, hints of pear, apple, banana, very mild hoppy, minimally herbal, grassy, in the finish minimally bitter hoppy, hints of cereals, husk and toothpaste; extremely soft palate. No real off-flavours, but some of them are hard to itemise.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
05/07/2013 330ml bottle (thanks Theydon_Bois!). Ambrata scarica (dorata carica), schiuma media, mediamente persistente. Al naso sentori agrumati, scorza di limone, leggero erbaceo e terroso, malto poco presente. In bocca è equilibrata, amara e secca nel finale, molto pulita e ben fatta. Corpo leggero, carbonazione media. Dissetante e di ottima qualità!

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
My Bottom Line:
Citrusy fruitiness and coniferous resins dominate this New World Pale Ale’s bready cereals and yeast for a highly flavourful hoppy quencher.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the misty golden.
-The resinous hop finish is quite memorable.
-Don’t look for balance here; this is a hop vehicle, and a very well honed one at that.
-Drinkability is still high despite the hoppy intensity.
