500ml. Orange hazy with a slim white lid. Nose of husk, dried flowers, OJ, grapefruit, mandarin, strawberry and mint leaf. Punchy soapy floral flavour with mint, lime zest, bitter tonic and husk, spearmint and dried flowers. Slightly sub-standard Kernel PA: just very good.

Scopey (6812) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 4, 2014
Bottle from Kernel. It pours hazy golden-amber with a medium white head. The nose is soft, fresh pine, tangerine, orange, papaya, Darjeeling tea and muffin. The taste is crisp, bitter, smooth, orange peel, grapefruit, pine, doughy undertones, spicy edge, grass even, earth, soap and resin with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Top drawer kernel pale.

500ml bottle Rehills Newcastle. Pours with a nice foamy head and a burnt orange colour. Mango and kiwi aromas, lovely dry biscuit palate, with woody leaves and grassy notes. Very soft and easy on the tongue, another Kernel cracker

In short: a light herbal ale.
Pours some hazy pale gold, with nice crfeamy whiet head. Moderate head retention, good lacing. Herbal, citrusy, fruity aromas. Light body, average carbonation, crispy, texture. Taste is fruity. citrusy, some herbal mouthfeel i found in some canadian ales. Enjoyable.

Bottle from Sourced Market. Hazy golden body with a thin white head. Great lacing. Aroma of lime and mango. Flavour of juicy orange and Parma violets. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. Easy drinking but not the most vibrant Kernel beer I’ve tried.

Garrold (1318) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - MAY 25, 2014
Bottle from Dram Shop, Sheffield. Hazy gold. Thin, tight, lasting, white head. Lovely, herby, minty aroma. Sweet, biscuit malt, too. Taste is dry and lightly bitter. Creamy palate. Dry, herby, bitter finish. Comes across a bit unbalanced, though.

Sjohnh (163) - Coventry, West Midlands, ENGLAND - MAY 25, 2014
Decent pale ale with creamy mouthfeel and good balance between the fruit and the bitterness. Very drinkable - only downside is the appearance. Like many similar ales it is cloudy orange with a small white head, but this one is cloudy verging on pond water!

jackl (4596) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - MAY 21, 2014
Bottle @ Bone Daddies. Hazy light amber pour with a small head. Nose is pretty earthy. Strong woods bitterness. Forest floor and dirty moss. A touch of lemon meat and mango sorbet. Taste is strongly bitter. Tree root, pine, resin. Grassy meadow. Quite vibrant and aggressive. Moderately yeasty. Dry finish. Medium body, active carbonation, great stuff.
