Bottle at home from the brewery shared with Sarah. Hazed golden orange coloured pour with a good lasting loose white head. Aroma is classic american c hop, grassy citrus, tangerine and some strawberry ice cream. Flavour is crisp clean base malt with a slight nutty finish then solid American hop character, some grass and lemongrass, tangerine, light chalk in there water profile. Palate is medium bodied with a light sweetness and dry enough in the finish. Another very enjoyable beer from the kernel.

Garrold (1117) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JUL 13, 2014
Bottle from Hop Hideout, Sheffield. Cunningly disguised as Centennial Simcoe. Hazy gold. Plenty of bubbly, white head. Ripe peach. Apricot. Plenty of skunky Simcoe. Thereís a little damp cardboard to this one. Taste is light bitter. Some dryness. Palate is airy, and a little thin. Finish is dry, and light bitter. Itís a Kernel, so itís good. But itís not Kernel good.

Bottle: Served in a shaker: Hazy yellow with a medium to smaller sized white head on top. Aroma is a soft smooth mix of hop fruits, apricot, peach, some lemon/citrus tones, hint of flowers and a sprinkle of fruity herbs. Flavours of hops, fruits, apricot, peach, light citrus tones, some flowers, herbs, bitters, some yeast and a hint of some dry herbal tones. Nice fruity and bitter! Aftertaste is fruity, hoppy, bitter, light creamy and light dry. Low carbo, soft creamy mouthfeel, good medium bodied and a creamy smooth light dry texture. Nice.

EdKing (1793) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 2, 2013
Bottle from brewery. Colour is orange/rusty amber, cloudy, big bubbly white head. nose is citrous fruit acidic, pine, orange marmalade, citrous rind. Taste is a big hit of citrous peel zest, which softens into a rich orange marmalade. As it lingers on the tongue the hop bitterness builds and itís quite hop astringent, piney, resiny and prickly.

jmgreenuk (4074) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - JUL 17, 2013
Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a hazy medium amber with a broken white head. The aroma is grassy hop leading to a medium bitter, grassy, nettle flavour with some serious spicy pepper bitterness in the finish. Fantastic when cooled on a hot day. Itís a rather typical beer from The Kernel, but its a style that I happen to like.
