Backlog rating. Keg at CBC Covent Garden, London. It pours a clean pale golden color with small white head. Aroma is big on citrus notes, grass, grapefruit, apricots. Taste is lightly bitter and medium crispy and dry with more citrus peel grapefruit apricots and grass. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, excellent.

Bottle, Chester Beer & Wine. Slightly hazy gold pour with a thin white head. Piney hop, grass and orange protruded from the beak. Very nice whiff. A healthy dollop of more citrus and hoppy goodness unfurled itself in the flavour which was excellently balanced and hugely moreish. Bitterness Bob on. Really a top notch APA, not that I’d expect anything less from the Kernel.

Scopey (11742) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 30, 2014
Keg. A big dirty free pint of it at the Lyric, Soho. It pours hazy gold with a thick white, foamy head. The nose is soft, juicy, fruity, orange, tangerine, Five Alive fruit juice and lime sorbet. The taste is crisp, bitter, creamy, lime, lemon sherbet, juicy tangerine, pithy orange, minerals, lemongrass, cream soda and straw with a dry, citrussy finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Very well rounded and gloriously drinkable. What’s not to like?
