Bottle at home, from Ales By Mail, 05/11/13. Pours lightly (by Kernel standards) hazed orange amber with a thiniish off white covering. Nose is earthy hops, mandarin, peach, toasted malts. Taste comprises mandarin, light pine, grassy, orange pith, mineral bite. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry grassy bitterness in the finale. Solid APA but not Kernels finest, great drinkable affair none the less.

Bottle from the brewery. I usually love simcoe and this beer has all the usual elements I normally get from it. It’s just missing that key bitterness to balance out the sweetness of all the fruits this hop gives off. Just ok
