Bottle at home in London. Pours fuzzy, rich gold with a plump, white froth head. Smells beautiful, like fresh oranges, dry pine, papaya. Light to medium sweet flavor with near perfect hop balance, some sticky pine, juicy citrus, a bit of earth and wood, grapefruit pith. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Dry and mildly resinous finish with semi-bracing, earthy bitterness, dry wood, lightly toasted bread, grass, citrus peel. I’m not as crazy about the final whistle as I am of the kick off, but it’s a damn fine beer overall.

Bottle from the Kernel. Light golden in colour, not so much head. Very smooth pale ale, disappeared remarkably quickly, you coud try to drink a lot of this. Hop blend is pleasant, not as forthright as other Kernel offerings, lightly fruity, quite dry, moderately bitter finish. This would have been awesome at more like 4% abv.

(Bottle, 0.5 l l - bottled 15.1.13 - bbe 15.05.13, courtesy of VastActiv, thanks Janne!, 20130406) The beer poured orange and cloudy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass, nettles and mildly malts. Palate was quite light bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, herbalness, mildly malts and intense bitterness. Afteraste was hoppy and bitter. A too light bodied for the amount of hops used. Nice to experience new hop varieties, though.
