Bottle. Clear golden beer with a small offwhite not lasting head. Grassy, hoppy and floral aroma. Similar flavour.

Aroma: Pale malt and a huge tangerine aroma - very light and juicy.

Appearance: Hazy golden body with a medium white head that fades slowly. Very light carbonation. Nice lacing.

Taste: Orange, pineapple and muted lemon notes. Slightly soapy. Light bitterness.

Palate: Thin to medium body with an oily texture. Gentle carbonation.

Overall: Not very complex, but wonderfully light and fruity. So easy to drink but lacking in depth. Would like to try this with the ABV ramped up a bit.

(bottle from Mr Lawrence, SE London) Fuzzy gold pour with a medium white head. Great aroma/taste of of citrus, big orange lemon flavours and subtle pine,grass notes. Nice.

Bottle @ CPK. The pour’s a hazy gold color with a small head. The nose is bright fruit salad. Some tangerine, orange, lemon citrus. Ribbon candy and light cheddar cheese. The taste is chalky marshmallow, lemon peel, grapefruit squash and spring water. Mineral yeastiness. Light body, soft and easy to drink. Overall, this feels slightly anemic by Kernel standards. Good, but not great.

Bottle at CP&K, thanks to jackl. It pours hazy golden yellow with a small bubbly white head. The nose is orange, tangerine, grapefruit, straw, light spice, Um Bungo and dough. The taste is dough, straw, spice, grass, hay, passion fruit, pithy citrus, with a dry, spicy finish. Decent. Smells better than it tastes...

Bottle at home in London, while listening to Harry Nilsson’s ’Me and My Arrow’. Pours lightly fuzzy gold with a frothy, white foam head. Pretty classic Kernel appearance, I’m glad to say. Nose holds juicy grapefruit, some drying wood, orange. Light to medium sweet, some white wood, big rindy citrus, especially grapefruit, pine needles, some grass. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Moderately dry finish, suggestions of resinous pine and grass, lots more dry and rindy citrus, punctuated grapefruit and orange, some very mellow lemony tang, touches of dry wood. A very well realised, mature APA. Superlative stuff. I sit back and gulp this down.

Hazy gold amber beer, tidy white head. Palate is light, dry and semi crisp. Once again Kernel provide vibrant hop in a modest abv beer. Near perfect blend of orange, tangerine and mild grapefruit pith. Traces of lemon and fresh hop skunk. Mild minerals. Mild bitter linger.

50 cl bottle. Clear golden beer with a small offwhite head. Hoppy pine aroma, grassy, peach, citrus, floral notes, biscuits, grapes, some pine needles, pears. Hoppy floral flavor, some metal notes, grapes, citrus, pears, peach, mango, pine needles. Decent body and with a nice fruity hop finish bringing grapes, citrus and pine needles.
