500ml bottle from the brewery. Slightly hazy deepish golden beer with lasting thick off white head. Orange and tangerine fruit aroma with some leafy hop. Soft in the mouth. Good orange tangerine fruit on the finish. It’s an amazing pale ale. God that’s good. I mean really what is Evin trying to do? Only make me like his beer? I haven’t had a duff one. This is another fantastic beer. Another I would want to drink every day. Gorgeous, wonderful and the fruit is just terrific. Touch of earthyness right on the finish.
4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 Leighton (6965) - London, ENGLAND - SEP 10, 2011
UPDATED: SEP 14, 2011 Bottle at home in London with Nick. Pours a slight hazy gold with a small, white head. Big juicy, almost tropical citrus nose. Exquisite flavor, great balance, tons of juicy hops, light pine and grass. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Graceful finish, great balance still, juice lingers. Excellent.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Scopey (3250) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 6, 2011
Bottle at the Kernel Brewery. It pours golden yellow-orange with a thin white head. The nose is refreshers, cheesy hop, orange, sweet tangerine and pine. The taste is pine, resin, grapefruit, orange, tangy marmalade, leather and light smoke, with a long, bitter finish. Light to medium body and average carbonation. It’s flavoursome, refreshing and the balance is spot on. This may even be my favourite Kernel pale ale to date!

4th September 2011 Cloudy amber beer, tidy white head. Semi crisp and dry palate. A little dry orange pith and mild grapefruit. As the beer warms up there is a nice zingy orange and lemon thing going on. Dry finish with a lemony bitterness in the aftertaste. A grower!
