Bottle at home. Particularly hazy/murky orange amber with a thin soapy white head that fades with good lacing. Biscuit, lemon, grape skins, grapefruit, very mild wheaty flavours, definitely not a hefe. Dry and resinous, lemon, grapefruit, some herbal notes, quite flinty bitterness, soft wheat characteristics. Long lingering grapefruit finish. Soft, creamy carbonation. Doesnít totally work for me - too bitter for a wheat beer, but doesnít really have the aromatics to be a very good APA either. Itís sort of stuck between two styles and doesnít fit into either of them, which is fine, but for some reason with this beer itís not in a totally good way. Itís well-made, refreshing, not in any way bad, but it just doesnít work for me. Just ok.

UPDATED: JUL 29, 2012 Bottle from Brewery. Colour is pale amber, hazy, white head. Nose is lemon citrousy, grapefruit. Quite citrous pungent. Taste is softer and smooth presumably because the wheat is adding a character to the malt which is in balance with the lemon citrous. Lots of lemon citrous and lemon peel coming through strongly and bitter on the finish. Still an American pale ale in all taste characteristics.

Bottle at the brewery, London. Pours a faintly foggy orange with a small, white head. Has a sharp grassy, woody nose with lots of dry citrus rind. Light sweet flavor with strong bitter punch. Some dry grass, lemon and orange rinds, soft grapefruit. Light bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Mild dry, slightly abrasive finish with pithy citrus rind, light sugars and some wood. The bitterness is a bit forward but you get used to it progressively. Itís quite grassy, too.

Bottle @ the Brewery. Pours a hazy medium amber color with a medium white head. The nose is fresh shortbread, sharp lemon and concord grape fruits. The taste is lemon peel, wheat. Mildly yeasty. Good citrus presence. Very drinkable. Pleasant.
