3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: JUL 29, 2012 Bottle from Brewery. Colour is pale amber, hazy, white head. Nose is lemon citrousy, grapefruit. Quite citrous pungent. Taste is softer and smooth presumably because the wheat is adding a character to the malt which is in balance with the lemon citrous. Lots of lemon citrous and lemon peel coming through strongly and bitter on the finish. Still an American pale ale in all taste characteristics.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle at the brewery, London. Pours a faintly foggy orange with a small, white head. Has a sharp grassy, woody nose with lots of dry citrus rind. Light sweet flavor with strong bitter punch. Some dry grass, lemon and orange rinds, soft grapefruit. Light bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Mild dry, slightly abrasive finish with pithy citrus rind, light sugars and some wood. The bitterness is a bit forward but you get used to it progressively. It’s quite grassy, too.
