(Draught at Beer Temple, Amsterdam, 27 Feb 2015) Pale yellow colour, slightly hazy, with frothy white head. Malty, spicy nose with notes of citrus, grass, hay, lemon peel and earthy hints of yeast. Fruity, spicy taste with citrus, grapefruit, lemon, grass, hay, earthy yeast and a balanced spicy bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Tasty and well made, quite true to the style. Very nice.

Aroma: citrus, sour, yeast, grain malts, acidity. Appearance: slightly hazy, light gold, small, creamy, white head. Taste: light sour. Palate: bitters continue, yeast, grain malts, lively carbonation. Overall: quite a nice Saison, maybe slightly on the sour side. Bottle from Oddbins, London Bridge.

On tap at the BeerTemple. Very pale white gold pour with white head. Aroma is hoppy, light Belgian yeast notes but very subtle. Taste is very grainy, bready flavor with light citrusy hoppiness, dry. Palate is light, light body light carb, a tad watery. Not a much of a fan of the Belgian stuff as their hoppy styles, this was ok.

Draft at Beer Temple. Pours hazy yellow golden with a white head. Aroma of peppery saison yeast, light Brett and citrus. Flavor is light sweet and a touch acidic. Light bodied with light carbonation.

Pours a clear blonde beer with a little white foamy head. Smells yeasty with a little hint of hops. Tastes lightly sweet, soft beer. Low on saturation.

5,1% AVB...de barril, en copa. Color amarillo palido opaco. Espuma blanca persistente.

Bottle from the brewery. Maybe left it too long as it got left behind when I moved out of the country. Clear pale blond colour with white fluffy head. Aroma is very Belgian, herbal, touch of spice. Maybe lost the hoppiness, but quite doughy, bit of fizz, touch of fruit, slightly metallic, slight creaminess. Taste is nice, herbal again, quite crisp. Bit metallic again, but I am guessing this is the age. Really should have drunk it earlier. Still nice though. Doughy maltiness, touch of fruity bitterness.

Bottle at home on a winters night in August, break from Black IPAs. 25th August 2012. Saison is not a favoured style of mine, but I like The Kernel. Pours clear and straw coloured, visible carbonation and a reasonable head, aroma is yeasty, flavour is refreshing and palate fairly fizzy for the Kernel, in line with the style. A good example, but I will not be having another

Bottle from the Kernel Brewery. Gusher! It pours clear golden yellow, with a thick white head and some suspended particles. The nose is dough, spice, floral, tangerine, orange and banana. The taste is dough, spice, tangy orange, tangerine, grapefruit, herbal and grassy notes, with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Decent.
