330ml bottle - shared with blankboy and garthicus. Hazy gold with a smallish frothy white head. Dry, pungently floral aroma, not much alcohol- a bit of lemon and coriander. Taste - follows - even more intense dry floral bitterness, yeast for days, not at all sweet, not a lot of alcohol. Solid body, quite astringent, nice and lively, long dry yeast/coriander finish. Yummmmmm.

Tap (Kernel, RBESG2011 Saturday)
Fresh grassy aroma, very farmhousy and herbal. Crisp and refreshing palate. Full in flavour. Nettly body and retronasals. Delicious saison. Covers 7.1% very well.

Papsoe (25088) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - SEP 4, 2011
Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a cloudy opaque golden with a dense off-white head. Fresh citrusy nose with quite some yeast. Medium body, fruity and citrusy, vitamin notes but the yeastiness dominates. Dry and almost astringent finish. A bit heavy on the yeast. 020911

33 cl bottle @ Euston Tap, London.
Rated on 20110721.
Pours clear yellow colour, light head, leaves lacing. Aroma is spices, apricot, sour fruits and caramel. Flavour is the same. Not as good as I expected but enjoyable and easy to drink nonetheless.

Bottled. An unclear yellow beer with a thin yellowish head. The aroma has notes of lemon, pepper, and yeast. The flavor is sweet with notes of lemon, yeast and hops on a light malty background, leading to a bitter finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Shared 330 ml bottle, from the brewery. ABV is 7%. Cloudy (end of bottle) golden colour, moderate white head. Lovely aroma of Belgian saison yeast, distinct spicy and fruity notes. High level of carbonation in the mouth. Very nice and spicy "Belgian" flavour, also some fruity notes.

Pours light yellow in a touch of saison haze. Nose is medium pungent yeast, lemon, orange, spice. Taste is nice and not too dry, maybe not dry enough for some. Bit of yeast, nice lemon peel and orange notes, wheat.

Half, from keg at Cask Pub & Kitchen during the pre-GBBF event with The Kernel Brewery. Unclear, orange-golden body, film-like layer at the top. Aroma of spiced oranges. Wheat, citrus peels and lighter notes of yeast in flavour. Fresh tart-fruity ending. Soft in the mouth. Complex and likable brew (London, 01.08.2011).
