3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
At Borefts Beer Festival 2013. Hazy golden with a small white head. Inviting, fruity hop aroma of citrus, especially grapefruit peel, along with tropical fruit. Sweetish, big fruity flavour with a hoppy, bitter finish

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle poured into a Westmalle glass. Bottle bought at the Grumpy Goat in Reading. Yellow-brown with a bubbly head that sounds goes. Zesty citrus hop aroma. Smooth, light citrus burst, light bitter finish, quite biscuity. Not at all bad light beer.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Smells of peaches, cherries & lychees. Tastes fresh due to the low alcohol & is not over hopped, just nicely balanced. This is the kind of beer you can drink all day just because it tastes good & you won't get drunk.
Pale Ale. Hops: Amarillo, Simcoe, Summit. Bottled on 14.11.13. 2.9% ABV

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
500ml. My bottle with Simcoe hops only. ar: intense herbal/piney citrus. ap: clear, gold, subsiding head. ta: as aroma. pa: lengthy mouthfeel, syrupy texture. ov: impressive pale ale. If tasting blind I would not have believed 3% abv. Clever brewing! Thick mouthfeel for the low gravity.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle @home, pours golden/yellow, nose of citrus fruits as ever with Kernel, grapefruit to the fore tee. The same on the palate with grapefruit and a touch of grass. Thin but then again it is a low A/V beer.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a fairly clear dulled yellow with a decent white head. Proper balance hop fruitiness and inviting lightness already. Kernel doing what they know best, squeezing in pine, grapefruit but a battering grassyness brought on by it’s ABV. Carbonation is singled out perhaps as it’s over the top for a Kernel and leaves a bit of a soft belly for the home straight. Finish is peppery grapefruit and a decent light spruce linger - very impressive both for how much depth there was in each sip AND the drinkability aided by the ABV.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
500 ml bottle. Hops: Amarillo, Simcoe, Summit. 2.9%
Bottled on 14/11/13. BB 14/03/14. From alesbymail.co.uk.
Cloudy golden colour with a tiny white head.
Cookie dough, sweet hops, gun powder, mild bitterness, citrus and tropical fruits in the aroma.
The flavour is resin, grapefruit and quite a strong bitterness. Some maltiness. Thin and waterish. Drinkable but not that balanced. Mild bitterness in the aftertaste.
