Bottled 12.12.12. Really interesting hop profile Apollo, Summit, Topaz, Columbus and Pacific Jade results in a subtle pine / lime profile - nice nose of the same. Another well made beer from The Kernel.

500 ml bottle, thanks to gunnar. ABV is 3%. BB date 06.03.15. Hops are Motueka, Kohatu, Rakau and Southern X. Very pale golden colour, moderate white head. Strong aroma of tropical fruits, particularly lychee, rambutan and longan, also passion fruit and mango. Light bodied, fizzy mouthfeel. Medium dry flavour, well hopped throughout, fruity notes with hints of pine needles. Not very bitter, hardly an IPA.

Hazy golden color with very little head. Aroma sweet and fruity with nice tropical notes. Taste nice, hoppy, and well balanced. You’d be hard pressed to tell this is a 3% beer. Nice ipa

Pours slightly cloudy pale golden with thin white head. Aromas of fruity hops, mostly apple and other Orchard fruits. Good carbonation and mouth feel for the ABV. Taste is light malt, balanced with nice dry bitter hops.

BOTTLE 50 CL at 3,1%, Simcoe, Centennial. Hazy golden, medium white head. The aroma is almost like those of „grown up” beers - lots of tropical fruit and flowers, light pith and pine. You can feel the lack of malts a bit - just a drop of honey. The taste is mostly dry, with a very light fruity-honey like sweet note. The taste is hop dominated - hops resins more than citrus. The body is just one small step above watery. Well, you can feel it’s a table beer but I guess it’s hard to make one that is much better than this.

0.33 l bottle from ’De Bierkoning’ at 3.1%, bottled in March 2016 (Centennial, Mosaic). Clear, golden yellow with a thin, soapy, white layer. Fruity, moderately grassy and slightly resiny aroma of mango, pineapple, some lemongrass and a bit of pine. Slightly bitter, fruity-grassy taste of mango, pineapple and some lemongrass, followed by a short, medium bitter, rather grassy and only minimally resiny finish. Thin to medium body, minimally effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very nice for that abv, never thin, refreshing and well-balanced.

Bottle 500 from the brewery, late November ’15. Yellow with white head. Tropical fruit in aroma. Fruity, citrus, hoppy, light bodied, very drinkable, refreshing, bitter finish. Looking at the ABV and the name wasn’t really sure what to expect but this was a very pleasant surprise. Not a "big beer", but you have to appreciate it as it’s nice everyday go to beer.
