Enjoyed on tap at the restaurant for New Year’s Eve. Very impressed, although it seems more like a hefe, than just a wheat ale.

On tap at the brewpub, pours a hazy light golden yellow with a thin head, the aroma was of slight spices with bread and crackers, the flavor has a decent amount of bread mixed in with the light malt, pretty easy drinking, not bad.

Draft. Poured an hazy dark yellow color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate sweet fruit and wheat aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable beer.

At the Restaurant. Surprisingly good. The waitress said that in the summer they change the yeast a bit to produce a more banana like aroma and flavor. I think this might be more of a hefe-weizen than a wheat ale. Quite cloudy a little belgian-y. Well done. Serving: Tap

Sampler at Lucky Monk. Cloudy yellow with a slight rosy cast to it. Head has thinned out after sitting a few minutes. The fruity nose gives it a bit of a Belgian, more than a weizen character. Also an surprise hint of smoke in the nose. The taste has more of a hefeweizen character, though. A note of passionfruit, probably from the yeast. Also finding that trace of smoke on the palate as well, but that seems to make it rather nicely rounded off.
