Many thanks for this bottle to Erzengel. Poured a hazy orange with a frothy off white head. Aroma of sour, lactic banana.

Thanks to erzengel! Pours a hazy, dull, yellow/orange with a nice light tan head. The smell is tart fruit, sweet tarts, green apple, must. The taste is dull wheat, tart fruit, a touch of spice ending dry. Light+ in body and a bit silky with nice carbonation. Interesting beer.

50cl bottle traded beyond koelschtrinker’s leftover crate, danke. Sweetish aromas of green apple juice/mash and a wild grab into nan’s herb garden. Had to adjust to taste, as I was under the brief impression this was a spinoff of a Berliner Weisse, not a Bavarian Weisse, Prussia style: more apple juice and herbs-a-gogo: thyme, basil, smoked and even salty notes - must be that juniper. Did not pick up on any ginger or beet sugar. Undercarbonated, reinforcing the impression of wild apple juice. A bit like stumbling into a kitchen drinking apple juice where rosemary, thyme and wayside herbs have been mistakenly used to grill a trout instead of dill and the served for dessert. Strrrange and consciously historicist.

BOTTLE 50CL from Erzengel. Thanks, Gabriel! Look: hazy amber with flakes, off-white creamy head. Aroma: fruity - banana, pineapple, green apple tartness, wheat tartness as well as some "wild" acidity. Not much ginger or juniper. Taste: wheat tartness, some kind of lollipop sweetness with a certain astringen but pleasant spiciness (juniper?) in the finish.

Bottle 500ml.

[ As The Monarchy Preußen Weißen ].
Clear medium yellow color with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, wheat, moderate yeasty, fruity banana, pineapple, fruit, yeast. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, sweet malt - yeast, sweet fruit, yeasty, fruity banana. Body is medium, texture is creamy - watery, carbonation is soft. [20140328]

Pale yellow, with a small head, soon vanishing. Yeast, lemon peel, ginger, funky. Very raw, experimental witbier. Refreshing yeast beginning, tart, then becoming a little sweeter, spicy, orange. Bitter beginning, sweet, spicy ending, watery aftertaste. Carbonation seems way too low in the ending. Lots of potential in the beginning, but has no real follow up.

Pours with a very hazy, but ugly light brown/golden color. Topped with a small white head that soon disappears. The aroma is pleasant - some fruits and some nice sweet spices. The taste is slightly soury and quite fruity with some spices towards the end. The finish is surprisingly sweet. If it doesn’t look like a nice beer, it does taste like one.
