This beer is brewed by and for the Gollem bars in Amsterdam. Could be a tourist trap or another method to make more money. But the Gollem bars belong to the best beer bars in the Netherlands and it would be a sham if it was like this. And I can assure you - they know that people want good beers? This one is incredibly smooth with a slight citric hop note and a subtle bitterness. It’s somehow yeasty but very enjoyable. True, the Gollem Blond is a bit mainstream, but it’s incredibly smooth and a perfect summer terrace beer despite it’s 7%. I’m positively surprised!

Draught@source: Served in a large Gollum chalice: Long lasting thick vast white head. Hazy yellow colored beer. Aromas of yeast, clay, light fruity, some liquor and fruity peat tones, light creamy, not much else to smell... Flavour is good bitter with some herbal and fruity tones, some yeast, some toast and lacto tones but disappear to a minimum right away and some hints of cream, hop and malts. Aftertaste is bitter, light fruity, yeasty, some herbs and malts. Low carbo, light creamy mouthfeel and medium bodied.
