COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The 1 cerveza beer made by a guy who got the recipe from another guy. The One is not a number. The One is a way of life, a movement, a society, a community, a living philosophy. The power of the One is the collective power of individuals. It's a virus, not a deadly one but one that's full of life. The One is a secret society that operates from the underground.

Minder smaak aan dan presidente of bohemian. Een pilsbier met een watersmaak zoals Heineken

Looks a verty strong yellow. Another ho-hum Dominican lager. A slight crispness, not really funky but not much else here either.

Yellow with a white head. Lacking much aroma. Light grain and a bit of citrus. Light, well carbonated, body. Flavor is also lacking but in the hot Dominican sun that works as an advantage. The ubiqutous Presidente is OK when near freezing and pretty terrible when a bit warmer. I prefer The One if they are my only options.

Dominican blonde beer, nice taste but simple, good for the beach, kinda sweet for a pilsener.

Bottle sampled while in the DR. Pours a clear gold (which shouldn’t be a surprise given the clear bottle.) Aromas are lovely corn and grass and weak lager, and flavor holds little in the line of interesting takes on the style. That said, this is decent enough, especially when sitting on a beach in the sun after a long winter. Thought this was better than El Presidente (and the label gives an immediate plus one to appearance.) Just plain goofy stuff in the print.

[1865-20081121] 355mL bottle. Mild fishy straw aroma. Clear, pale yellow body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. More of the same fishy straw in the flavour. Light body. Poor, but can see how it could be refreshing on the beach.

2008-11-14. Yellow body, smallish foamy white head fades leaving anemic lacing. Very light grains and a kiss of hops in the aroma. Flavour is likewise, very light bitterness accenting a generic grainy flavour. Pretty innocuous, and surprisingly decent considering the clear bottle. Average to thin palate. Bottle from Mini-market @ Majestic Colonial, Punta Cana

22oz bottle-pours a foamy white head and pale yellow color. Aroma is grain/light malt/musty. Taste is grain/light malt/musty-maybe some caramel, faint earthy hops. Easy. Thanks EdNotch for bringing this back.
