2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz bottle poured at the most American restaurant I?ve found in the DR. Outback. The black label, unlike the one in the picture on ratebeer, says "make tonight the one" in the same font Jack in the Box uses for there late night munchie meal. Now that I have referenced both Outback steakhouse and JITB in the same rating, I can get to the less interesting details. Pours a glowing yellow color with a soft pillow head. Light grains aroma. Probably the smoothest and most pleasant tasting of all the local lagers. Body a little on the creamy side, but drinks very nicely. Hints of lemon. If this is the last Dominican beer i find, I feel like I ended my quest on the best possible note.

1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Probably the best beer of the macros in Dominican, of the monopoly of the whole presidente bastards. Some sense of malt. Some sense of pilsener type stuff. Had a bottle of "the one" in a corner colmado in Santo Domingo listening to salsa. Vibez bruvas.. Extra point for the awesome bottle.

1.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20
Minder smaak aan dan presidente of bohemian. Een pilsbier met een watersmaak zoals Heineken

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Looks a verty strong yellow. Another ho-hum Dominican lager. A slight crispness, not really funky but not much else here either.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 3/20
Yellow with a white head. Lacking much aroma. Light grain and a bit of citrus. Light, well carbonated, body. Flavor is also lacking but in the hot Dominican sun that works as an advantage. The ubiqutous Presidente is OK when near freezing and pretty terrible when a bit warmer. I prefer The One if they are my only options.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 5/20
Dominican blonde beer, nice taste but simple, good for the beach, kinda sweet for a pilsener.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle sampled while in the DR. Pours a clear gold (which shouldn’t be a surprise given the clear bottle.) Aromas are lovely corn and grass and weak lager, and flavor holds little in the line of interesting takes on the style. That said, this is decent enough, especially when sitting on a beach in the sun after a long winter. Thought this was better than El Presidente (and the label gives an immediate plus one to appearance.) Just plain goofy stuff in the print.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
[1865-20081121] 355mL bottle. Mild fishy straw aroma. Clear, pale yellow body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. More of the same fishy straw in the flavour. Light body. Poor, but can see how it could be refreshing on the beach.
