Dry style stout brewed with malted and flaked rye. Served authentically from casks in our clear, hand-pumped through our beer engines.

Draught. Inky black with small beige foamy head, slight roastd malt aroma, thin body, medium carbonation, bitter roasted malt taste with slight alcohol flavor, medium bitter finish. Not bad but not really soectacular either.

ticked at the source, i like these, raosty and bitter ,some hop finish but the majoirty of the bitterness is from the malts, nice and clean. didnt like these before.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours near black with a beige head. Medium roasted and muddy malts, moderate sweetness, hints of bitterness, and a nice lingering roasted malty finish. Good stuff.

Pretty good to the style except moderately over carbonated for what it is. Light roast and little to no sweetness as expected. Could have used a richer creamier presence without being quite so sharp and "spritzy" feeling. Not bad.

@ Peekskill. Pours black with decent tan head. Aroma of roasted malts and some chocolate. Taste brings much of the same. Leans toward the bitter end of the stout spectrum, but in the roasted malt way as opposed to hops. Get some rye in there as well. Pretty dry on the palate and quite spritzy. Get a lot of the carbonation and acidic twang in the mouthfeel. At least with this beer it works decently well. Recently I’ve found it detracts from the experience. Gotta do it right. Finish is roasty bitter with lightly lingering rye graininess. Pretty solid beer.

Tap at the brewery. Pours opaque black with a medium, frothy tan head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is leather, roast and chocolate malt, light coffee, prunes and figs with spicy hops. Flavor is malt dominant, medium hops and bitterness with a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Draught. Pours with a big billowy brown head leaving lace. Aroma has a striking savory meaty quality that jumps past the chocolate and roast. The taste is roasty sweet like a proper Irish stout with a more dark coffee dust and charcoal bitterness. Similar meaty quality. Ends a tad lactic. Feel is super soft though the roast starts to dominate. Really nice though odd.

Draft at barcade. Medium bodied black pour. Dry roastiness, chocolatety flavor and aroma rather simple but well executed. Solid stout
