tap at Alewife - not a big fan of this beer. Sickly sweet, caramel and toffee on the tongue and big boozey finish, but just not well balanced at all.

Draft. Bready/caramel aroma. Caramel, hazy appearance with foam sticking to the glass. Rich, caramel flavor with the relatively high ABV noticeable on the finish.

On draft at PB. A very fine big English-style ale. Malty sweet, muffin, lemon peel, pumpernickel, and a good light hop finish.

Draft at Peekskill with Linh. Pours a deep, hazy brownish amber with light white lacing. Aroma is subtle, sweet dusty malt and faint hop. Mouthfeel is medium with rich malty notes, fresh citrus hops and bitter pine. Very solid American strong.
Earlier Rating: 4/3/2013 Total Score: 3.3
Draft at Blind Tiger with Andrew. Pours a deep mahogany body with no head, very minor lacing. Aroma is molasses, light oak, some scotch, and maple syrup. Mouthfeel is medium with notes of booze, maple syrup, melted toffee candy, light earthiness and a decent amount of sweetness in the finish. Not one of my favorites from Peekskill, but still a nice offering.

Sampled at the International Great Beer Expo, Rock Hill, NY. This is normally only available at their restaurant. Pours a dark amber color. Fairly hazy. Good head, minor lacing. Smooth start at first sip but slightly bitter finish and a slight aftertaste. Good drinkability for an ale. Would probably order if I found myself at the Peekskill Brewery

Overall seemed balanced. Some malt sweetness, a touch of grainy bitterness, a little roasty. Light caramel and toasted flavor, a bit thin for an old ale for me, a little warming.
