COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our tribute to Willie...Shotgun Willie IPA’s aromas of cantaloupe and gooseberry come directly from New Zealand’s Nelson Sauvin Hops. Rye and wheat contribute to a distinct dry grain flavor. Pouring pale straw in color with full hop character, this is unlike any IPA you’ve had before.

On tap @ brewery. Pours a clear yellow with med white head heavy lace. Aroma is kick ass, big guava, cantaloupe, gooey citrus hop, wheat, faint rye. Flavor is gooey guava hop juice, turns light bitter but finishes so smooth. Fait light for the ABV, but medium mouthfeel and carbo. Very nice, fresh batch.

Cask at the brewpub. Pours a clear orange with a thick white head. Aroma of stinky sweaty armpit hops, rye, citrus. Flavor is more citrusy, fruity, with plenty of hop oils, grassy hops, garlicky hops and stinky hops in the finish. Excellent rye IPA, light on the rye though. 8/4/8/4/16 (4/5)

ticked at the source, not a grape for everyone, i like the grapeyness than comes from it. Good example of the potential of the nelson sauvin.
