September 2012. Bottle. Caramel and malt aromas. Amber orange color with a tan head. The flavors are spicy yet with some caramel to mellow it a bit. The finish is dry and hoppy.

Whole Foods, NY 33cl ($5): Pours an orange/yellow color with a white head. Aroma is mild fruityness and yeast. Taste is bitter, slightly fruity, and a tad spicy. I don’t really see what is so American about this, as this tastes like many a Belgian Belgian ale I had. Not to say that it is not enjoyable though.

3/20/13. 11.2oz bottle from Grassroots. Hazy golden orange pour with a small khaki head that fades and laces well. Big sweet malty aroma, almost sugary and caramelly, with touches of sharp fruitiness. Sweet fruity entry with tons of doughy malts, fruitiness, and a touch of sugary sweetness. Interesting. Not bad.

33cl bottle from The Bottle Shop, Canterbury. Cloudy amber colour with a very thick beige head that only just fit in the glass. Belgian estery aroma. Bit of a pukey Belgian. Some sherbert hop on finish. Least good beer so far today I guess. Lots of sherberty hop on end is enjoyable, but there is an upfront taste of puke which is not good. Not great.

Large white head with good retention and lace. Murky, blonde color. Nose is a bit fruity, peaches, malty and a bit grainy. Body is light with a some what spritzy carbonation, lil oily, coating. Medium sweet malts, lil dough, bready with a lil fruit and caramel malts, some carrots show up as it warms. Fairly dry finish. Meh.Bottle from statelineliquors.

Poured a light yellow color from the bottle with aromas of light malt, some light wheat, a touch of fruit and some light hops. Flavors were as strong as the aromas, light fruit and light hops. A very light beer overall, might be more refreshing in summer time.

Pours a clear straw yellow with a thick, if not too persistent, snow-white head. Crisp, malty aroma has a subtle undertone of fruit. Flavor is malty and crisp, better than what the so-so aroma promised, malty with an overtone of apple and a little pear, a bit sweet with a bitter hoppy undertone. Firm texture has plenty of life and fizz, leaving a fruity and tingly finish. If far from the best Belgian I have had, still a worthy beer. It gets better as I drink it.

0.33 L bottle, picked up @Kihoskh, København. Hazed straw colored body. Dense, medium tall white top. Weak aroma of wheat malts, pepper, and sappy yellow fruits. Light to medium body. Dusty mouthfeel. Not very flavorfull. Faint fruity with a light spice sting and a notes of harsh-ish wheat malts. Short, dry spicicy-fruity ending.

Bottled. Poured slightly cloudy medium golden with a dense, well-retained off-white head. The aroma picked up sweet banana, cloves, white pepper, and odd, quasi-tropical fruit.. came across a touch assertive, but aiight. The flavor found sweet banana and bready notes at the core with bright grassy and floral hops, white pepper, and cloves around.. finished bitter, spicy, and tasty. Medium-bodied with moderate, tight-bubbled carbonation.. smooth across the middle of the palate.. good stuff.

One of the newest offerings at my local Belgian pub. A nice soft golden color and a smooth finish. Looking forward to trying the European Blonde...
