Pours dark reddish brown with a smooth white head. Aroma of coffee, cocoa, wood, vinegar and tart berries. Taste is sourish with massive coffee flavors, cocoa, wood, oak and vinegary yeastiness. Finish is tart, sourish and vinegary with loads of coffee, cocoa and wood. Quite an unique beer.

Tap. Batch 2 . Pours clear chestnut, medium beige creamy head, nice lacing. Aroma is coffee, a bit of oak, tart cherry. Flavor is coffee forward initially, quickly giving way to tart cherries, oak tannins, a bit of ashtray. dry finish, medium body, puckeringly lingering tartness. Almost too much tartness.

Draft. Batch 2. Mahogany beer with a cream head. Big coffee aroma. Tart and sour flavor with coffee and light lemon. Medium bodied. Coffee and sourness lingers with light lemon.

On tap at the brewery. It pours a very deep copper red color with a khaki head. Wow, what a weird concept. Even stranger that it actually works. The aroma is huge coffee with lots of chocolaty roasted nuts with some acidity. The flavor is pretty crazy with coffee, nuts, cocoa and heavy vinegar acid. Roasted and acidic finish. I’m not a coffee nerd by any means, but it kind of reminded me of an extremely citrusy, acidic black coffee. Normally I wouldn’t like the vinegar aspect, but it serves this one pretty well. Unique stuff.

On tap at the brewery. Pours deep ruby color. Lovely fresh coffee aroma, fresh baked wheat bread, ink. Milky coffee flavors, latteish, smoothly riding atop an astringent red wine vinegar sourness. Chocolate covered espresso bean emerges with warmth. Love the coffee character but the sourness is too acetic.

Tap..Pour is dark black with a nice tan head..Nose is amazing roasted coffee, barrel, berries, roast..Taste is nice coffee roast, fresh coffee bean, nice funky tartness, chocolate roast, dark berries, spice, dry, oak.

Beautiful in the glass huge coffe aromas berry tiny bit of butter. All works together. Very spritzy. Acidic finish. Tasty

Sample snifter on draft at the brewery. Aroma is definitely coffee forward, but more of a stale, left over lemonade twang to it. Perhaps somewhat floral. More swirls unlocks the acidic nature. Pours a clear dark brown with red hues coming though and almost no head. Very tiny bubbles hug the sides of the glass. Taste is lemonade, coffee acidity, balsamic and a bit of vinegar. Surprisingly citrus and lemon forward towards the end. There is a note of funk as well. Body of thin, with a bit of a silky presence – about what I would expect from a coffee beer. Carbonation is low, but adds enough to make this interesting. Overall not a very nice blend of flavors. I would prefer if there was more of a roasted, or chocolate note instead of the lemonade and vinegar. Sour stouts/porters were never really my thing, but now adding coffee to the mix is just confusing.

Aroma is coffee, coffee, and more coffee. Similar to sticking your nose into a fresh bag of coffee beans. Taste is pleasantly tart sour, clean with lemon/citrus notes. Slight brett funk - very nice. Finishes with coffee, but not overpowering. Well done beer
